Dear CSC bioinformatics customer,

CSC organizes 1.-2.12.2003 a basic course on in silico identification on
transcriptional regulatory regions. The course consists of lectures and
exercises using mainly web-based tools, and the topics include

-retrieval of promoter sequences
-databases and tools for discovering known transcription factor binding
motifs
-phylogenetic footprinting
-tools for finding shared sequence motifs in promoters of similarly
expressed genes
