[Genetics] thesis examination + seminar

This is an advance notice that next Friday (November 10) there will be a
thesis examination (Miika Tapio) and a seminar by the opponent (Mike Bruford).
The seminar by Mike Bruford is at 10.15 in ET232 and the title is "The
Orlog Model in conservation genetics: evaluating the past,
present and future using molecular tools in a critically endangered great
ape population."
at noon in YB210, Miika Tapio will defend his thesis with a topic "Origin
and maintenance of genetic diversity in northern European sheep". The
thesis includes papers published in Molecular Biology & Evolution,
Molecular Ecology and Heredity. Mike Bruford is the opponent.

He used to be the head of Conservation Genetis at the Institute of Zoology
