Subject: [BioClients] R/Bioconductor and Chipster courses at CSC

Dear CSC bioinformatics user,

Please note that the following courses on R/Bioconductor and Chipster are
organized this spring at CSC. For more information and registration, please
see
http://www.csc.fi/english/research/sciences/bioscience/Courses_and_events/upcoming

* 16.-17.4.2009 Microarray data analysis with Chipster *
Chipster (http://chipster.csc.fi/) allows you to perform DNA microarray data
analysis with R/Bioconductor and other tools through a graphical user
interface. It supports Affymetrix, Illumina, Agilent, and cDNA platforms,
including miRNA arrays and the new Illumina HT-12 arrays. Chipster offers a
comprehensive collection of analysis and visualization tools, and it allows
users to save and share automatic analysis workflows. Chipster is free of
charge for university researchers.

* 2.-5.6.2009 DNA expression microarray data analysis using R and
Bioconductor *
This hands-on course covers the analysis of DNA microarray expression data
using the R and Bioconductor software. We start from the raw data and end up
with a list of differentially expressed genes with some ideas on the
pathways and biological processes that might have been active during the
experiment. No previous familiarity with R is required, but it is beneficial
to have some basic knowledge of DNA microarrays.

Best regards,
Eija Korpelainen
