Hello

My name is Jennifer Hope Hyypio and I have an opportunity to visit
Finland in May 2012. I have a family member in Vilnius,LT and we will
travel to Finland from LT. I am planning to be in your country 1 week
and I want to bird and travel in the north. I band(ring)raptors and
songbirds in the USA. I also do wildlife rehabilitation (help sick and
injured wildlife)and I have been birding for years.

My great grandfather was a Saami reindeer herder in the north of Finland
and he came to Michigan, USA. There is a lake Hyypio near the Arctic
Circle.It is a dream come true for me to travel to your country. I am
interested in finding someone who could help me plan this journey.
Someone I could ask questions. Should I bird in early or late May? Where
do I fly into? Is it best to rent a car and go on my own? I may want to
use a birding guide. My traveling companion is not a birder but loves
the wilderness.

Any recommendations you have would be greatly appreciated.
