Hello Tuomo Ollila

I am Luc Creylman from Belgium and I got your e-mailadress from the Tourist Office from Rovaniemi.
I found your name by  http://tiira.fi/ and then I saw that you are specialist about birds of pray - special: eagles.
I read some good articles on internet about your work with much admiration.

But let me tell about myself .
Here in Belgium i am member of 2 nature organisation:   http://www.natuurpunt.be/ and  http://www.vogelbescherming.be/site/ (about bird protection in Flanders). Also I often put observations on http://waarnemingen.be/ - simular as tirra.fi.
Together with 2 of my brothers we have also our website www.creylman.com<http://www.creylman.com>.  It is about nature and special animals/birds.

But why did I take contact with you?

On 2016 I am 60 years old and I give my family (An, my wife and 3 children and boyfriends) and my self a present : visit Finland the first week of April (2 - 9) where we stay near Särkilammentie - Rovaniemi (about  10km from Vanttauskoski and 40km from Rovaniemi). The location is on the road of "Jokelanti".

But on monday 28/03 I arrive in Rovaniemi "alone" to take time from monday - till friday to see birds and other animals.
The best information that I can have is from locals with the same spirit. Two examples: I was in Bulgary on a prison Island and in Canada by Native people, who let me see their nature world on special places. I hope to find that also in Finland.

Where I stay the first 2-3 days probably depends on your opinion. Of course I hope to see : owls, birds of prey, waxwings, snow bunting, woodpeckers, grousse, capercaillie, partridge, swans, may be the cranes if they arrive already, ... all are welcome, but in nature, it is unpredictable what you can see.

People advise me to go to Oulu or Kuusamo, but perhaps you advice me to stay on the same location as in our second week. Because I suspect/hope that you know that region well- based on the registration in tiira.fi.

So I cross my fingers and I wait on your advice and proposals. I hope that you make my Birthday-holiday special in a winter environment.
I would like to thank you for your feedback and your effort. And I also hope to see you when I am in Finland.
