Käväisin eilen Siikajoen suunnalla rantoja perkaamassa. Liikkeellä myös tavanomaisia sirrejä ja pari havukkaa. Parhaiten Munahiedan nokalla. 

Varessäikässä mielenkiintoinen kalastustapahtuma: Merikotka saalisteli lahdella. Yhtäkkiä se pudottautui ja yritti napata kalan, mutta eipä onnistunutkaan! Itsepintaisesti se yritti pitää saaliista kiinni ja itsensä pinnalla viipottaen siivet koholla ja välillä painuen aaltojen väliin näkymättömiin. Kamppailua kesti useita minutteja ja saalistaja vei saalistajaansa ainakin 20-30 metriä mukanaan... Viimein kotka nousi siivilleen tyhjin kynsin ja lensi suoraan rannan puihin lepäämään. Minkähänlaista kalajuttua se kertoi myöhemmin kavereilleen....
