Jos asiassa ei ole aivan hiljattain tapahtunut mitään uutta, lumihanhi on
Saksassa pelkästään kategoriassa E (varmat tai lähes varmat tarhakarkurit).
Ko. populaatiota ei siis ainakaan vielä katsota omillaan toimeentulevaksi
ja elinvoimaiseksi, jolloin C-kategorian edellytykset täyttyisivät.
