Lintu seikkailee nyt Torniojokilaaksossa välillä Ruotsin ja välillä Suomen puolella. Suomen arosuohaukkahavaintojen painopiste näyttäisi nyt muutenkin siirtyvän kohti pohjoista. Ilmeisesti Lapissa on paremmin myyriä kuin täällä Oulun seudulla, johon ei sittenkään
tainnut tulla huippuvuosi(?)<br>

Edellisen lähetinarosuohaukan, Puolassa menehtyneen Leton kesällä 2017 syntynyt naaraspoikanen nähtiin muuttomatkallaan Hollannissa 22.4.<br>

minor-latin;mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin">Selja tuli Suomeen aivan kuten edeltäjänsä lähetinlintu Potku keväinä 2016 ja 2017: vapuksi. Kuitenkin siinä missä Potku
kiersi Suomenlahden pohjukan kautta, pitäytyi Selja jo syysmuutollaan hyväksi havaitsemallaan Ruotsin muuttoreitillä. Selja saapui Norjan Hedmarkista Keski-Ruotsin poikki luoteeseen kohti Torniojokilaaksoa 27.–30.4.</span></p>

minor-latin;mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin">Seljan hieman yli kuukauden kestänyt kevätmuutto kulki pääpiirteissään samaa reittiä Espanjan ja Ranskan kautta Hollantiin
kuin syksylläkin – nyt tietysti päin vastaisessa järjestyksessä. Hollannissa Selja pysähtyi pisimpään. Lintu viihtyi Amsterdamin luoteispuolisen Flevolandin pelloilla yhdessä sinisuohaukkojen kanssa 6.–19.4. eli lähes kaksi viikkoa. Täällä hollantilaiset niittysuohaukkatutkijat
seurasivat sitä päivittäin. </span></p>

minor-latin;mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin">Selja viipyi Flevolandissa niin pitkään, että ajatus sekapesinnästä sinisuohaukkojen kanssakin ehti käydä mielessäni. Arosuohaukan
pesintä varmistettiin Hollannissa ensimmäisen kerran kesällä 2017 ja viime kesänä samalla paikalla todettiin epäonnistunut sekapesintä niitty- ja arosuohaukan kesken. Myös Seljan yllättävä pistäytyminen Oslon luoteispuolella Hedmarkissa oli mielenkiintoinen.
Näillä seuduin olivat Norjan ensimmäiset epäilyt arosuohaukkareviireistä kesällä 2017.</span></p>
