Samalla hieman tiedotetta tarkemmin lähetinlinnun reitistä eteläisen Suomen yli:<br>

Viime sunnuntaina 5.5. lintu muutti Suomen sisämaan yli Hiidenmaalta Siikajoelle. Se paikantui vielä sunnuntaina aamuyöllä klo 03 Viron Hiidenmaalle, mutta aamulla kello 9 lintu oli muuttolennossa pohjoiseen jo Tammelan kohdalla, Liesjärven kansallispuiston tuntumassa. Näiden kahden paikannuksen välinen suora linja saavuttaa Suomen rannikon Raaseporin Hästö-Busön kohdalla, ylittää Pohjanpitäjänlahden Raaseporin Leksvallin kohdalla ja kulkee Suomusjärven taajaman yli.<br>
<br>
Tammelan paikannuksen jälkeen lintu korjasi kurssiaan hieman pohjoiseen. Seuraava paikannus, kello 15, edelleen muuttolennosta, on muutama kilometri Raahen kaupungin itäpuolella. Tammelan ja Raahen paikannusten välinen suora linja kulkee mm Tampereen keskustan itäpuolelta Kaukajärven yli, ja suunnilleen Ruoveden, Ähtärin ja Ylivieskan taajamien kautta.<br>
<br>
Tämä vahvistaa pitkään vallalla ollutta käsitystä, että vanha kevätmuuttoreitti länsirannikkoa pitkin ei ole enää käytössä - silloinhan oli Porin seudulla myös lepäilyalue.<br>
<br>
Sunnuntaina 5.5. alkuillasta lintu onnistuttiin jo näkemään perinteisellä levähdysalueella Siikajoella, jossa se on edelleen.<br>
<br>
Lähetin ottaa paikannuksen 6 tunnin välein ja lähettää tallentamansa paikannukset (jos lähetin on silloin GSM-kentässä) kerran vuorokaudessa.<br>
