Kesän 2016 pesimän parimäärästä en äkkiä löytänyt itseltä tietoa. Keväällä 2017 metsikössä pyöri reilun viikon n. 40 mustavarista . Kymmeniä pesiä, mutta ei yhtään varista. Onko kellään tiedossa, että onko kolonia tosiaan tyhjentynyt ja milloin? Kyllähän tähän aikaan asutussa koloniassa pitäisi olla kova kuhina ja meteli (niin kuin on Välkkylän puiston koloniassa). Olisiko kellään tiedossa uusia kolonioita Tyrnävällä tai lähistöllä? Jonnekinhan ne ovat varmaankin siirtyneet... Paluumatkalla kävin katsomassa Kempeleen paloaseman viereistä metsikköä. Siellä oli vajaat kymmenen risupesää, muttei lintuja.
