Hi,
Here is a quick summary of the main points from yesterday's meeting.
We will leave on Friday and come back on Sunday. Everyone should eat
well before leaving. On the way back we will stop at a petrol station
to eat (but you should have Sunday dinner just in case).
The first night will be in a large tent and the second night in or
near the hut at Koron Korsu.
Four teams have been made. The teams will cook and ski together.
We are still short of cars.
Everyone should make sure that they have good enough sleeping bags and
mats. If you are unsure, ask. Probably someone could lend you one.
To verify that you are participating answer the following doodle. Also
inform when you want to leave on Friday or if you want to leave on
Saturday. Answer by Sunday evening.

It is a good idea not to pack to much extra weight (Proper weight is
under 20kg).
It is possible to get sinol from SOOPA.
The price of the trip is still open, but will become sure soon.
We forgot to talk about equipment yesterday, please check the summary
below. It only gives the absolute minimum required for safety and the
sauna, nothing more.
Please note that SOOPA doesn't have insurances for anyone. All
participants take part at their own risk.
Here is a minimum list of gear to pack:
backpack
wide skis with boots
one good or two decent sleeping bags. You should be able to sleep in
minus 20 if need be. If conditions turn bad suddenly we might not make
it to the hut
sleeping mat. preferably two. You need at least 2 cm isolation between
you and the ground
thermos flask
food
plate and utensils (metal or plastic)
matches
torch
sauna gear
If you are unsure about the gear, ask.
clothing:
while skiing you don't need as much as when standing still. A shell
layer and one or two thin layers underneath are enough for most
people. For breaks and waiting a warm coat is vital. A good hat and
gloves are also necessary.
Test your gear before the trip and take a look at the weather forecast.
Juhani
