[SOOPA] Syysretki Syötteelle/ Autumn trip to Syöte National Park

SOOPA ry:n perinteinen syysretki suuntautuu Syötteen kansallispuistoon. Matkaan lähdemme perjantaina 17.9. klo 17:00 T2 ovelta. Ouluun palataan sunnuntai-iltana.

Viikonloppuna on tarkoitus patikoida rennosti komeissa maisemissa. Porukka jaetaan pienempiin ryhmiin lähtijöiden toiveiden mukaan ja reittinsä jokainen ryhmä valitsee itse. Yöpyä voi autiotuvissa tai teltassa. Lauantaiksi SOOPAn porukalle on varattu Ahmatupa, jossa sauna lämpiää ja ensimmäiset punkanvaltaajat mahtuvat myös yöpymään varaustuvassa tai viereisessä autiotuvassa. Retki sopii mainiosti kokemattomillekin retkeilijöille.


Syötteellä voi olla kylmäkin keli, ehkä luntakin, joten varaudu asiallisilla kamppeilla. SOOPAn sivuilla on varustelista http://www.soopa.fi/ohjeet/syysvaellus/, josta voit tarkistaa mitä tarvitset mukaan syksyiselle retkelle. Ainakin hyvän makuupussin ja patjan telttaöiden varalle, omat eväät ja sateenpitävän, lämpimän vaatetuksen. Teltat ja kartat saa SOOPAlta.

Reissuun lähdetään kimppakyydeillä omilla autoilla. Tiistaina 14.10. klo 16 pidetään SOOPAn Kololla retken suunnittelukokous, johon kaikkien lähtijöiden kannattaisi osallistua. Tapaamisessa sovitaan kyydeistä ja ryhmistä sekä varmistetaan, että kaikilla on sopivat kamppeet ja hyvä retkimieli.


Retkelle ei ole erillistä osallistumismaksua, mutta Syötteelle lähtijöiden tulee olla SOOPAn jäseniä. Toimintamme on päihteetöntä.

SOOPA's autumn trip to Syöte National Park 17th-19th of October

Student Scouts of Oulu University is organizing a weekend trip to Syöte. We will leave to Syöte on Friday 17th at 5 pm from T2 door and head back to Oulu on Sunday evening. The weekend is about relaxed hiking around the trails of Syöte in small groups. Each group decides where they go and whether they sleep in wilderness huts or tents. For Saturday night SOOPA has booked the wilderness cabin, Ahmatupa. There we can have a sauna and some of us can sleep in the cabin too. This weekend trip is a really good for beginners too!

The conditions at Syöte might be a bit cold, even snowy so make sure your gear is good enough. You can check the gear list for autumn hikes on SOOPAs webpage http://www.soopa.fi/in-english/gear-list-for-hike/ to get some idea of what is needed. A good sleeping bag and a mattress for tent nights, waterproof and warm clothing and food are necessary anyways. SOOPA provides maps and tents.


We will drive to Syöte by our own cars. The rides, hiking groups and necessary gear will be further discussed in a pre-meeting on Tuesday 14th of October at 4 pm at SOOPAs Kolo. We hope that all who sign up for the trip will make it to the meeting.


The trip costs nothing but in order to join, you should be a member of SOOPA. All our events are alcohol free.
