Oletko koskaan kokenut Lapin taikaa? Haaveiletko upeiden luonnonmaisemien
tutkimisesta ja erämaan rauhaan uppoutumisesta?

Meillä on sinulle erityislaatuinen kutsu. Tule mukaan Hydepakin (Helsingin
yliopiston partiolaiset & Polyteknikkojen partioklubi) unohtumattomaan ja
ainutlaatuiseen seikkailuun Kolariin 5.5.–14.5.2023. Valmistaudu
todistamaan henkeäsalpaavia maisemia ja kiehtovaa luontoa sekä nauttimaan
monenlaisista aktiviteeteista ja saamaan hyviä muistoja ja ystäviä.

Kolari on Suomen Lapissa sijaitseva kaunis paikka, jota ympäröivät upeat
maisemat metsineen, järvineen ja tuntureineen. Siellä on tarjolla laaja
valikoima nähtävyyksiä ja ulkoiluaktiviteetteja, kuten patikointia,
pyöräilyä ja lintujen bongausta. Pallas-Yllästunturin kansallispuisto
kauniine vaellusreitteineen on aivan lähellä. Siellä elää monenlaisia
villieläimiä, kuten poroja, ilveksiä ja karhuja. Toukokuu on loistava aika
lintujen tarkkailuun Kolarin kosteikoissa ja metsissä, sillä silloin monet
muuttolinnut palaavat kotialueelleen.

Majoitumme hyvin varustetussa mökissä, jossa on sähköt, juokseva vesi,
sauna ja pesukone. Mökissä on 6 makuuhuonetta, joihin mahtuu majoittumaan
yhteensä 13 ihmistä.

Viikon aikana voit osallistua mielesi mukaan erinäisiin ulko- ja
sisäaktiviteetteihin, kuten:

 - vaellus Pallas-Yllästunturin kansallispuistossa

 - lintujen tarkkailua päiväretkellä läheisille kosteikoille

 - talviurheilua, jos on lunta *

 - lautapelejä, saunomista, hyvää ruokaa…

 - ja paljon muuta!

* Tyypillisesti Kolarin alueella lumipeite alkaa huveta huhtikuun lopulla
ja toukokuun alussa, mutta toukokuun alussa saattaa vielä olla lunta maassa.

Matkustamme Kolariin yöjunalla Helsingistä. Mikäli tulet kyytiin Oulusta
niin pääset myös samalla junalla (Pikajuna 276) Kolariin, joka lähtee
lauantaina 6.5. klo 6:30. Voimme ostaa sinulle junaliput meno- ja
paluumatkoille, voit myös halutessasi ostaa liput itse tai matkustaa muulla
kulkuvälineellä (ilmoitathan tästä ilmoittautumislomakkeessa). Kun
tapahtuma on täynnä, uudet ilmoittautujat laitetaan jonotuslistalle ja
heihin ollaan yhteydessä jos peruutuspaikkoja vapautuu.

Jos haluat meidän ostavan sinulle liput, sinun pitää maksaa siitä etukäteen 30
€ ilmoittautumismaksu Hydepakille. Maksua ei palauteta, mikäli perut
osallistumisesi ja lippu jää käyttämättä. Maksuohjeet lähetetään
ilmoittautuneille. Jos sinun on peruutettava ilmoittautumisesi, kerro siitä
mahdollisimman pian.

Kolari Cottage Trip

Hi!

Have you ever experienced the magic of Lapland? Do you dream of exploring
stunning natural landscapes and immersing yourself in the tranquility of
the Finnish wilderness?

If so, we have a special invitation for you. Join Hydepakki (University of
Helsinki Scouts & Aalto University Scouts) for an unforgettable adventure
in Kolari from 5th to 14th May 2023, where you can immerse yourself in the
unique experience that Lapland has to offer. Get ready to witness
breathtaking landscapes, encounter fascinating wildlife, and enjoy a wide
range of activities that will leave you with good memories and friendships
for the years to come!

Kolari is a beautiful destination in the Finnish Lapland which is
surrounded by stunning landscapes, including forests, lakes, and hills. It
offers a wide range of outdoor activities and attractions like hiking,
cycling and birdwatching. Nearby, there is the Ylläs-Pallas National Park
with the popular Pallas-Yllästunturi Trail, which is over 55 kilometers
long and takes visitors through some of the most beautiful landscapes. The
park is home to a variety of wildlife, including reindeer, lynx, and brown
bears. The month of May is a great time for birdwatching in the wetlands
and forests around Kolari, as many migratory birds return to their breeding
grounds in the area.

We will be staying at a well-equipped cottage, with electricity, running
water, sauna and washing machine. The cottage, together with its 6
bedrooms, can accommodate up to 13 people.

During the week, you can choose to participate in different outdoor or
indoors activities as you like. Here are some activity ideas:

 - a hike in the Ylläs-Pallas national park.

 - a bird-watching day-trip to the nearby wetlands

 - winter sports if there is snow *

 - board games, sauna, good food…

 - and much more!

* Typically, the snow cover in the Kolari area begins to decrease in late
April and early May, but there may still be some snow on the ground in
early May.

We will be traveling from Helsinki by train to get there. If you’re coming
from Oulu then you can take the same train (Pikajuna 276) to Kolari which
leaves on Saturday 6.5. at 6:30 am. We can buy you the train tickets to
both there and back, you can also buy the tickets yourself or travel there
by other means (remember to inform about this in the sign up form). Once
the maximum number of participants is reached, new registrants will be put
on a waiting list and will be contacted in case of any cancellations.

If you would like us to buy the tickets for you, please note that your
registration
will not be considered valid until we receive a registration fee of €30
into Hydepakki's account. This fee is non-refundable if the ticket is left
unused in case of cancellation by the participant. Payment details will be
sent to registered participants.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we want to make
sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision
about your participation. If you need to cancel your registration, we ask
that you do so as early as possible, so we can plan accordingly.

We will send you more detailed information about the event, equipment list
and the schedule closer to the event and after we receive your
