<p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:black">Bruce’s main areas of expertise are in coastal nutrient cycles, and stable isotope applications in hydrology and biogeochemistry. He currently works at the New Zealand
National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) in as a hydrologist. He completed a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in biological sciences at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and a Ph.D. in marine science at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
His post-doctoral fellowship was with the University of Hawaii at Hilo and the United States Forest Service, examining changes to nutrient and hydrologic cycles resulting from invasion of an N-fixing tree to Hawaii Island.
