<div>Prosessikilta ja Ympäristörakentajakilta järjestävät yhteistyössä Prosessi- ja ympäristötekniikan koulutusalan ja Antonio Calón ( Ph.D. of Energy and Environment Engineering) kanssa ydinvoimaexcursion 1.-2.11.2018. Excursio on osana 488504S Fundamentals
of Nuclear Energy -kurssia ja täten kyseisen kurssin osallistujilla on etuoikeus osallistua exculle. Paikkoja on kuitenkin riittävästi, joten osallistuminen on nyt avoinna myös kaikille tekniikan alan opiskelijoille, prosessi- ja ympäristötekniikan opiskelijoiden
ollessa kuitenkin etusijalla. Kaikilla ulkomaalaisilla opiskelijoilla on oltava passi mukana excursiolla. <b>Ilmoittautumisen deadline on 16.10.!</b></div>

<div>Excursion tarkoituksena on tutustuttaa opiskelijat ydinvoiman tuotantoon vierailemalla kahdella eri ydinvoimala laitoksella; Pyhäjoella ja Olkiludossa. Pyhäjoelle lähdetään Oulusta torstaina 1.11. Yöpyminen tapahtuu Porin Yyterissä. Perjantaina 2.11. vieraillaan
Eurajoella sijaitsevassa Olkiluodon ydinvoimalassa, jonka omistaa Teollisuuden Voima Oyj. Olkiluoto on toinen Suomessa tällä hetkellä toiminnassa olevista ydinvoimaloista ja siellä on tällä hetkellä kaksi toimivaa reaktoria, kolmannen ollessa rakenteilla.
Alueelle ollaan myös rakentamassa Onkaloa, joka tulee olemaan tulevaisuudessa ydinvoimajätteen loppusijoituspaikka. Reissulla saattaa olla mahdollisuus päästä vierailemaan Onkalossa.

<div>The guilds of Process and Environmental Engineering are co-organizing a nuclear energy field trip with the department of Process and environmental engineering and prof. Antonio Caló on 1.-2.11.2018. The excursion is a part of 488504S Fundamentals of Nuclear
Energy -course and thus the priority in participants are towards the students attending this course. Nevertheless there are enough spots to include other students as well, therefore the sign up is open for all tech students, Process and Environmental engineering
students having the priority on attending. Passport is required for all non-Finnish students. <b>Registration deadline: Wednesday 16.10.2018.</b></div>

<div>The purpose of the excursion is to familiarize the students in manufacturing of nuclear energy via visiting two nuclear power plants in Pyhäjoki and Olkiluoto. The excursion departs towards Pyhäjoki from the University of Oulu on Thursday the 1st of November.
The overnight stay will be at Yyteri, Pori. In Olkiluoto, the visit is to Hanhikivi 1, where we get to see how a nuclear power plant and infrastcture associated with it is being built. On Friday the 2nd of November the excursion continues to Olkiluoto plant
in Eurajoki, which is owned by Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO). At the moment, Olkiluoto is the other one of two operating nuclear power plants in Finland. They have two working reactors and third one is in construction. Nearby, there is being built an end disposal
site for nuclear waste, named Onkalo. There might be an opportunity to visit the Onkalo.
