Lumipeitteiset vuorenhuiput sekä koivumetsien peittämät kumpareet koristavat alueen maisemaa. Abiskon seudulta löytyy maastoja jokaiselle. Alueella kulkee Ruotsin suosituin vaellusreitti Kungsleden, mutta hieman enemmän haastetta kaipaava lähtee mielellään hieman syrjemmäksi, missä on mahdollista ettei näe ketään muita. Tilausbussi ajaa Norjan rajalle saakka, joten pakko ei ole pysytellä pelkästään Ruotsin puolella. Alueen ehkä komeimman nähtävyyden, Lapportenin läpi hiihtäminen ei vaadi kuin 30 kilometrin hiihdon. Vaikka pääsiäisvaellus vaatiikin jonkin verran retkeilytaitoja ja kykyä sopeutua nopeasti kevätauringossa vaihteleviin olosuhteisiin, ovat kaikki hiihtotaitoiset aloittelijat erittäin tervetulleita! Abisko is located by wonderful Abiskojokk river that flows to beautiful Torniolake’s southern beach. Mountains topped by snow and birch forested hills decorate the area.
