Toivottavasti jokaisen talvi ja alkukevät on sujunut mukavasti ja lukuvuoden opiskelu-urakka alkaa pikkuhiljaa olla lopuillaan. Wapun vieton lomassa ja vuoden huipennuksen, fuksiuittojen ja Teekkarilakituksen, lähestyessä haluan yleisesti muistuttaa ja tiedottaa

Wappu on ennen kaikkea syy pitää hauskaa ja viettää aikaa opiskelukavereiden kanssa ennen mahdollista häviämistä kesätöihin ympäri Suomen. Kannustankin siis jokaista ottamaan ilon irti tapahtumista ja tunnelmasta, niin että sekä sinulla ja kaikilla ympärilläsi
olevilla on hauskaa, eikä kenellekään jää paha mieli. Luo verkostoja ja ystävyyssuhteita, unohda ennakkoluulot, pidä huolta itsestäsi sekä lähimmäisistäsi. Haalarit päällä edustat paitsi kiltaamme, mutta myös koko Teekkari- ja opiskelijayhteisöä, joten muistathan
käyttäytyä sen mukaisesti. </div>

Oulun Teekkariyhdistyksen hiljattain tekemä ja runsaasti keskustelua herättänyt uima-asupakko on kiltamme hallituksen käsittelyssä ja keskustelua tullaan käymään kesän aikana. Jokaisella kiltalaisella tulee olemaan mahdollisuus esittää mielipiteensä siitä,
tulisiko myös Ympäristörakentajakillan ottaa käyttöön vastaava toimintatapa. Toistaiseksi siis kunnioitamme OTYn päätöstä ja killan saunan ollessa osa OTYn tapahtumaa, on uima-asun käyttö saunassa pakollista. Muuten saunan liikkuessa Wapun aikana, uima-asun
käyttö on vahvasti suositeltavaa, mikäli ei muuta tiedoteta.</div>

Hopefully, everyone's winter and early spring have been going smoothly, and the academic year's study journey is gradually coming to an end. As we approach the celebration of Wappu and the culmination of the year with fuksi (freshman) baptisms and Teekkarilakitus
(student cap ceremony), I want to remind and inform everyone about a few things:</div>

Wappu is above all a reason to have fun and spend time with classmates before potentially dispersing for summer jobs everywhere. Therefore, I encourage everyone to make the most of the events and the atmosphere, ensuring that both you and everyone around you
have a good time, and no one feels upset afterwards. Build networks and friendships, forget prejudices, and take care of yourself and your peers. When wearing the student overalls, you represent not only our guild but also the entire Teekkari (engineering
student) and student community, so remember to behave accordingly.</div>

The recent decision by the Oulu Teekkari Association (OTY) regarding mandatory sauna swimwear is under consideration by our guild's board, and discussions will take place over the summer. Every guild member will be able to express their opinion on whether the
Environmental Engineering Guild should adopt a similar approach. For now, we respect the decision of OTY, and in the case of the guild sauna being part of their event, wearing swimwear in the sauna is mandatory. Otherwise, wearing swimwear in the guild's sauna
is strongly recommended unless told otherwise.</div>
