Ylioppilaskunnan piirissä olevat järjestöt voivat hakea avustusta projekteihinsa. Avustusta haetaan järjestöportaalissa. Hanke katsotaan projektiluontoiseksi, kun se on ainutkertainen ja uusi. Projekti voi olla lyhyt tapahtumaluonteinen tai se voi kestää useamman toimintakauden ajan, kuten kehittämishankkeet. Projektien tulee tukea yhdistyksen sääntömääräistä toimintaa.
Avustusta voi hakea sekä ennakkoon että takautuvasti. Mikäli mahdollista, avustus myönnetään tappiontakauksena. Avustusta voi hakea usea järjestö yhdessä projektiinsa, kunhan projektin rahavirrat hoidetaan keskitetysti yhden järjestön kautta.
Hakemuksessa tulee käydä ilmi projektisuunnitelma, projektin aikataulu, arvioitu osallistujamäärä ja budjetti. Lisäksi hakemuksessa tulee mainita, miten OYY tulee näkymään projektin viestinnässä, jos hanke saa OYY:ltä rahoitusta. Talousarviossa tulee näkyä omarahoitusosuus, OYY:n avustusosuus ja mahdollinen muu ulkopuolinen rahoitus. Valmistuneista projekteista palautetaan loppuraportti ja tilinpäätös viimeistään kuukausi projektin toteuttamisen jälkeen.

Student organisations can apply for the Student Union’s project grant until 15th of October. The funding can be awarded for new and unique projects, which can be short-term projects like events or they can continue for a longer period of time, like development projects. The projects have to support the association’s by-laws. Applications are submitted via society portal.
Organisations can apply for the grant either in advance or in retrospective. If possible, the grant will be awarded afterwards to cover the expenses of the project. Organisations can collaborate when applying for the funding as long as all the monetary transactions regarding the project are carried out through only one organisation.
The application should include the project plan, project schedule, estimated number of participants and the budget. In addition, the application should include information on how OYY will be visible in the project communication if the project gets OYY’s funding. In the budget it should be stated what part is the organisation’s self-financing, what part is OYY’s grant and possible other funding. Those who have received a project grant should send a final report of the project and also a financial report one month after the project has been completed.
