Yhdyskuntasuunnittelun
tutkimus- ja koulutuskeskus järjestää AESOP-konferenssin 7.-10. heinäkuuta
2010. Etsimme 40:tä vapaaehtoisia osallistumaan konferenssin järjestelyihin.
AESOP-Konferenssi järjestetään Otaniemessä Espoossa Konferenssikeskus
Dipolissa. Tarvitsemme vapaaehtoisia auttamaan seminaarisaleissa,
infopisteessä, opastamaan seminaarivieraita Dipolissa sekä vastaanottamaan
heitä Helsinki-Vantaan lentokentällä.
24. AESOP:in (Association of
European Schools of Planning) konferenssin järjestää Yhdyskuntasuunnittelun
tutkimus- ja koulutuskeskus (YTK). Yhdyskuntasuunnitteluun, arkkitehtuuriin ja
kaupunkitutkimukseen painottuvaan kansainväliseen konferenssiin odotetaan
saapuvan arviolta 600–800 alan tutkijaa ja ammattilaista ympäri maailmaa.
Ensimmäistä kertaa Suomessa järjestettävä AESOP-konferenssi on suurin Suomessa
järjestetty yhdyskuntasuunnitteluun keskittyvä konferenssi. Konferenssin teema
”Space is Luxury” on jo herättänyt laajaa keskustelua sekä

The Centre for
Urban and Regional Studies is organising an AESOP conference on the 7-10, July
2010. We are looking for 40 volunteers to participate in the arrangements
during the conference. The AESOP conference will be held in Otaniemi Espoo in
the Dipoli Conference Center. We need volunteers to help in seminar rooms, at
reception and information desk in Dipoli and also in the Helsinki-Vantaa
airport.
The 24th conference of AESOP (Association of
European Schools of Planning) is a major planning, architecture and urban
studies event organised by the The Centre of Urban and Regional Studies (YTK).
>From 600 to 800 planning scholars and practitioners around the world are
expected to participate in the conference and about four hundred paper
presentations will be given. This will be the first time ever when an AESOP
conference is organised in Finland. The theme of the conference “Space is
luxury” has already stimulated large international interest and
