Aikaisempina vuosina järjestettyä kehitysyhteistyöviikkoa ei järjestetä tänä vuonna ainakaan samanlaisena kuin ennen. Tämä johtuu siitä, että Suomen Ylioppilaskuntien Liitto ei ole tänä vuonna saanut Ulkoministeriöltä kehitysyhteistyöviikon määrärahaa jaettavaksi ylioppilaskunnille. Tällä Ulkoministeriön rahalla on aiemmin kustannettu muun muassa yksi työntekijä kehyviikon koordinointiin Oulun yliopistolla.

Näillä näkymin OYY ei ole suunnittelemassa mitään kehyviikkoa vastaavaa tai korvaavaa toimintaa syksylle 2017. Tämä ei estä järjestöjä silti keksimästä aiheenmukaista aktiviteettia niin halutessaan! Globaalikasvatus ja kestävän kehityksen tavoitteet koskettavat meitä kaikkia yli tiedekuntarajojen. Tässäpä kiinnostuneille avuksi lista mahdollisista yhteistyökumppaneista Oulun seudulla:

Dear All,

The Development Cooperation week as we know it won't be organised this year. This is because the National Union of Student Unions in Finland has not gotten money for it from the Foreign Ministry. Previously this money has been used to for example hire a worker for the Development Cooperation week at the University of Oulu.

For now OYY is not planning on having any events related to development cooperation during fall 2017. This doesn't stop the student societies from coming up with development cooperation related activities on their own! Global education and sustainable development goals consider us all no matter what we study. For those interested, here's a list of some possible cooperation partners at local and national level:
