Wappu lähestyy, joten on taas aika ilmoittautua Kirkkovenesoutuihin. Oulun yliopiston Prosessikilta ry järjestää perinteisen Kirkkovenesoututapahtuman keskiviikkona 24.4 kello 12.00

Kisassa 15 hengen joukkueet (14+1) soutavat kaksi kerrallaan noin kolmen kilometrin mittaisen matkan mahdollisimman nopeasti. Kaksi parhainta aikaa kellottanutta joukkuetta kisaa Oulujoen herruudesta el grande finalessa.

Joukkueeseen kuuluu 14 soutajaa ja yksi peränpitäjä, jonka tulee olla suorituksen ajan selvä. Kaikki soutajat ovat omalla vastuullaan ja soutava joukkue on myös vastuussa rikkoutuneista meloista, yhden melan hinta on 68 e.

Hintaa soutamiselle kertyy 50 e/joukkue ja se maksetaan Prosessikillan tilille kun saadaan soutamislupa. Jäätilanne tarkastetaan keskiviikkona 17.4. Maksaessaan hinnan joukkue sitoutuu edellä mainittuihin ehtoihin.

Ilmoittautua voi heti maililla tähän osoitteeseen. Mukaan otetaan 26 nopeiten ilmoittautuvaa joukkuetta. Viestissä tulee kertoa aine- tai harrastejärjestön nimi, yhteyshenkilön nimi, puhelinnumero ja mailiosoite. Ilmoittautuminen on sitova.

Rannalla on lisäksi DJ Ant soittamassa musiikkia, OAMK:n järjestämää kyykkää sekä muuta pientä kivaa ohjelmaa.

Spring is here and Wappu is drawing near... This year's annual traditional row boat competition will take place on Wed 24.4 at 12.00 p.m. race begins at noon.

In the competition, 15 person teams (14+1) row two at a time a distance of almost 3 km as fast as possible. The two fastest teams will battle for the title of the champion in the el grande finale.

The teams comprise of 14 rowers and one cox who must be sober throughout the rowing. All participants are responsible for themselves and any broken oars. Every broken oar is 68 EUR.

The price of participation is 50 Eur per team and it is paid to the Processing Engineering Student Guild account as soon as rowing permission is cleared. The river conditions will be checked on 17.4. When paying the price, the team commits to the conditions explained above.

DJ Ant will be providing the beats on the riverside and there will also be other events! Everybody is welcome to come and watch and cheer their team on!
