May B-eat-z!

May B-eat-z on wednesday - yes, wednesday! - the 4th May. Let this be the kick start to an indian summer 2005 and the end of b-eat-z spring season.

THE MENU: DJ B.Miles with a set of mixed electronics and organic beats, DJ El Björn with full on d'n'b/junglist breaks and DJ Ken-Guru with his versatile set of weird and wonderful tunes. Yes please!

Thursday is a national day off, so get off your ass and jam!

B.Miles (:kaktus, Oulu) :: organic house groove ::

Tuomas Haavisto aka DJ B Miles is the man behind :kaktus parties in Raahe area and in addition to promoting :kaktus, he has played in parties from Rovaniemi to Tampere.

Deep/vocal/jazzy/funky house & downtempo can be heard in his sets but he won't settle for just that. He also mixes latin and breaks to suit the mood on the floor. "Anything with a groove".

DJ El-Bjorn (muhos m-bass) :: drum'n'bass & jungle ::

On x-mas b-eat-z, Kai Kontio a.k.a DJ El-Bjorn raised the roof with a banging dose of knees shaking drum/bass set. More of the good stuff can be expected from El B. on may b-eat-z. Some of his favorite labels include Hospital, Congo Natty and Good Looking. Grrr... the bear is loose!
