2002-2012 A Decade of Territorial Evidence

Dear Madam, Sir,

We would like to thank all of you who have already registered for the ESPON Info Day on New Calls and Partner Café on 10 May 2012 in Brussels. Following the start of online registration, this is the situation after the first four weeks:

  • approximately 120 people from 18 countries (BE, CH, CZ, DE, DK, ES, FI, FR, GR, IE, IT, LU, NL, PL, PT, RO, SK, UK) registered to the event
  • participants expressed their interest in the upcoming Calls for Proposals, which will open on 18 April 2012, as follows:

The ESPON 2013 Programme is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the EU Member States and the Partner States Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

It shall support policy development in relation to the aim of territorial cohesion and a harmonious development of the European territory. ESPON shall support Cohesion Policy development with European wide, comparable information, evidence, analyses and scenarios on framework conditions for the development of regions, cities and larger territories. In doing so, it shall facilitate the mobilisation of territorial capital and development opportunities, contributing to improving European competitiveness, to the widening and deepening of European territorial cooperation and to a sustainable and balanced development.

2002-2012 A Decade of Territorial Evidence

In the framework of the upcoming Calls for Proposals, the ESPON 2013 Programme is pleased to invite you to the Info Day on New Calls and Partner Café, which will take place on 10 May 2012 in Brussels.

EA-0041_JPG_659879357.jpgThe purpose of the event is to inform and assist potential beneficiaries in preparing proposals for the Calls which will open on 18 April 2012. The event will focus on the content specifications and the procedures for applying. The European Commission will present the policy demand behind the need for further ESPON results. The Info Day and Partner Café will also give you the chance to network, to find partners and get feedback.

The event is suitable for all potential beneficiaries interested in applying for funds to the ESPON 2013 Programme. This means scientists and experts representing universities, research institutes, public bodies and private companies from 31 European countries (EU 27 + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland).
