It is not allowed to use fire in the laminars

Dear all, I want to remind you that it is not allowed to use fire (gas Bunsen burners) in the laminars. Take this seriously. There has been a recent close-by situation in the CRC 3rd floor. 4th floor ice machine broken

BCO Notio workspace

Hi all, There is now a basic Notio workspace for BCO which can be found here: https://notio.oulu.fi/sites/bcobiocenteroulu/default.aspx At the moment there's not much there but everybody here in the Kieppi laboratories should have the folder 'BCO Kieppi Laboratories' available under the 'Documents' section. If you don't see anything there, send me an e-mail so I can add you to the list. In the folder, there are documents relating to the Kieppi working environment, chemicals etc. If you have problems accessing the workspace or folders, please notify me. The workspace is still under construction and we will be adding some functions later. Air conditioning maintenance today at 14.00

Hi all, ISS asked to inform that there will be some maintenance done today to the air conditioning units in Kieppi building A-wing. The maintenance starts at 14.00 and the A/C should be off for a relatively short time. Also the ventilation hoods will be affected. If there are some problems during or after, please contact ISS. IV-konehuoneessa jatketaan runkotöitä sekä aloitetaan vesikattotyöt konehuoneen reuna-alueille. Vesikatolla käytetään pikipataa, mistä aiheutuu hajuhaittaa ulkotiloihin. More Little Christmas party information :)

Dear Santa and everyone else, A quick reminder of the Little Christmas party this Friday in Oulunsuun Pirtti at 7 p.m. The adress is Pirtintie 8, 90230 Oulu. You are welcome to arrive earlier if you want. The theme for the evening is Christmas, so If you like you may bring your Christmas hats or reindeer horns or maybe just something red to wear. The band is going to play for us on Friday and we will remember them with a voluntary collection during the evening that everyone will be able to participate in. I would also like to inform you that because of the budget we have a limited amount of punch and other alcohol-based drinks so if you feel that there will not be enough, please, take your own drinks with you. :) So far I have been informed of only one entertainment number so there is time for more if someone feels that they could come up with something fun (entertainment/game or something else)! Please inform me of the entertainments so I can arrange the schedule for the evening. Santa Claus is delivering our presents in the evening so if you have been nice this year you may bring a present (max 5 euros) for someone and you will get one in return. Here is a message from Ann-Helen Rosendahl, Christmas Party organizing committee. ---------- Hi everyone, Here is some information about the little Christmas party this Friday 7.11 in Oulunsuun pirtti (Pirtintie 8, 90230 Oulu): The Christmas party will start at 7 p.m. but you can also arrive earlier. There will be food served: Smoked reindeer cocktail pastries, Blue cheese crostads (no meat), Chicken flat bread rolls and Cold smoked salmon flat bread rolls, Cocktail meatballs, Vegetable pie, Salad And off course some glögi, juice, coffee and punch will be served with the desert. If your group are planning to organize some entertainment, please, let me know so I can arrange the schedule for the evening. There will also be a live band playing for us in the evening. I have also heard that Father Christmas is paying us a visit during the evening so if you feel that you have been kind throughout the year you may bring a little gift (max 5 euros) and you will receive one in return! :) Bring your good mood and party shoes!
