Office and lab doors

Hi all, I've noticed that some of the office and lab doors can be a bit tricky to get locked properly due to a misalignment in door frame for example. I'm compiling a list of these so if you have noticed a door that does not lock easily, please let me know so I can inform ISS. Also if you notice loose door handles etc. which is a common as the screws holding the lock and the handle together seem to detach from time to time. Thanks! Pikkujoulukutsu/ Christmas party invitation

Hei kaikki, Toivotamme teidät lämpimästi tervetulleiksi BMTK:n ja BCO:n pikkujouluihin. Juhlat järjestetään 3.12.2015 ravintola Rauhalassa (Mannenkatu 4) klo. 18.00. Tarjolla buffetpöytä ja kaksi kaatoa viiniä (voi vaihtaa olueen, siideriin tai limonadiin). Rauhalasta löytyy myös baari, josta voi halutessaan ostaa lisää juotavaa. Rekisteröitymislistat löytyvät kahvihuoneista. Osallistumismaksu pikkujouluihin on 10€, jonka voi maksaa Pialle (laitos), Paulalle (kieppi) 16.11. mennessä. Halutessasi voit tuoda myös pikkujoululahjan (max 5€). Ken lahjan tuo se lahjan myös saa. ☺ Toivottavaa olisi, että ryhmät kehittelisivät pientä ohjelmaa iltaa varten. The party will take place on Thursday 3th of December 2015 at 18:00 in restaurant Rauhala (Mannenkatu 4). We will have Christmas buffet table. The amount of drinks is limited (two alcohol drinks included), but there is a possibility to buy more from the bar. Enjoy the good food and drinks with great company! The registration lists can be found from the coffee places (on faculty and Kieppi). Please register by Monday 16.11.! And pay participation fee (10 euros) to Pia or Paula (kieppi) and if you want you can also bring a small gift (max. 5 euro) directly to the restaurant as we will have Santa visiting. Hei kaikki välinehuolto on suljettuna 21.- 27.12.2015. Valmistaudu joulun alusajan välinehuollon sulkuun ja suunnittele tutkimuksesi siten, että keskeytyksestä on mahdollisimman vähän haittaa työllesi. Ennen lomia olemme valmistautuneet autoklavoimaan ja tiskaamaan tavallista enemmän tavaraa. Jos suunnittelet soluviljelykaappien osien pesettämistä ja autoklaavausta, niin viimeinen päivä ennen joulua ko. palvelulle on ke 16.12. Tule henkilökohtaisesti sopimaan päivästä välinehuoltajien kanssa. Ilman varausta emme voi taata, että saat kaapin osat takaisin omien suunnitelmiesi mukaisesti. Eikä meillä ole liikaa tilaa varastoida kaapin osia pitkiä aikoja välinehuollossa. Vuoden vaihteen jälkeen soluviljelykaappien osien pesut ja autoklaavaus ovat taas mahdollisia ma 18.1. alkaen. Joulun ja uuden vuoden välisenä aikana välinehuollossa on vain yksi työntekijä. DWA: heading Christmas time, please notice the service breaks

Dear All The DWA service is closed during 21.- .27.12.2015. Please be prepared and arrange your experiments so that you can work smoothly during pre-Holiday season without DWA service. We are ready to autoclave and wash more items before the service break. If you have any plans to clean your CO2-incubators before Christmas, the last day to bring the cabin parts for washing and autoclaving is Wed 16.12. Remember to come and agree personally the date for the cleaning of your cabin parts. Without a proper agreement we cannot guarantee, that you will get tidy parts in time. The next possible time to clean and autoclave incubator parts is from January 18th onwards. Between Christmas and New Year there is only one person running the service. Pirjo Mustaniemi (050 350 5779 , internal: 481146) will be in charge and she is serving both FBMM and Kieppi people: in Biochemistry block on Mon, Tue and Thu (28., 29., 31.12) in Kieppi Wed 30.12.
