In these seminars MRC Oulu research groups will present their research and latest findings. Seminars also include informal 'after-presentation' discussion where participants are free to share their views. Next Thursday, Jan 28, lunch seminar: Professor Miika Nieminen and PhD Matti Hanni will introduce the Medical Physics Research Group<http://www.mipt-oulu.fi/portfolios/nieminen_group/>. Rolls and coffee are served during the seminar. There is also possibility to bring and enjoy your own lunch in the seminar auditorium 116B (next to the restaurant Medisiina). FYI Until further notice, needles, knives and other sharp items, and other hazardous waste have to be stored in the laboratories. It is not allowed to bring them to the hazardous waste containers in the campus outside. Tiedoksi kaikille terveydenhuollon erityisjätettä tuottaville kudos, neula ym. riskijätettä ei voida enää uusien EU-säännösten mukaan viedä kaatopaikalle. Kampuksella oleviin riskijätekeräyspisteisiin ei saa enää viedä jätteitä. Mikäli teillä on ko. jätteitä, niin säilökää ne vielä omissa pisteissänne. Oulun jätehuolto on ilmoittanut, ettei voi ottaa jätettä vastaan ilman pakkauksia 1.1.2016 lähtien. Säiliöiden käyttö tulee kiinteistöllänne lopettaa välittömästi! ………. Toivon toimintatavan muutoksen olevan teille mahdollista, sillä riskijätesäiliöiden käyttö on lopetettava välittömästi. Victor 2nd floor and data transfer

Hi all, Victor is now connected to the same system as our other instruments. That means the USB has been disabled and data transfer will only be possible via the BCO-NAS network drive. I will provide instructions if you need to transfer data from that computer.
