Office and lab doors

Hi all, I've noticed that some of the office and lab doors can be a bit tricky to get locked properly due to a misalignment in door frame for example. I'm compiling a list of these so if you have noticed a door that does not lock easily, please let me know so I can inform ISS. Also if you notice loose door handles etc. which is a common as the screws holding the lock and the handle together seem to detach from time to time. Thanks! Pay attention to Christmas lights and electric candles

Dear BCO-Kieppi people, I kindly ask you that please do not leave the Christmas lights and electric candles on for long periods of time. Switch them off in the evenings and especially, do not leave them on for the whole holiday period. We all love the lights but they can be dangerous when they suddenly heat up, and we do have a lot of invaluable stuff in the building. Thank you for your understanding and I wish you everybody a relaxing holiday season! DWA-välinehuolto: Loppuvuoden aikataulut - The last weeks of 2106

Hei kaikki vuosi 2016 alkaa olla lopuillaan, niinpä muistutan välinehuollon aikatauluista viikoille 51 ja 52. Viikolla 51 välinehuolto toimii normaalisti, poikkeuksena solukaappien osien pesut ja steriloinnit. Viimeinen mahdollinen pesupäivä on ke 20.12. Solukaappien pesuista on sovittava välinehuoltajien kanssa erikseen. Viikolla 52 solukaappien osia ei pestä. Viikolla 52 välinehuollossa on paikalla vain yksi välinehuoltaja. ti, pe Biokemian päässä ke, to Kiepin päässä. Autoklaavit lämpenevät yllämainittuina päivinä ko. välinehuollossa. Nesteet menevät autoklaaviin klo 10. Tarvittaessa vie steriloitavat tarvikkeet joko Biokemian pään autoklaaviin (huone F043A) tai Kiepin autoklaaviin (huone 236B) (Tarkista kummassa päässä on toimintaa ko. päivänä) Viikolla 52 tavoitat välinehuoltajan numerosta Eija Kumpulainen 050 406 5716, sis puh nro: 485760 Rauhallista Joulunaikaa koko välinehuollon tiimin puolesta toivottaen virpi Dear All Year 2016 is coming to the end and there are some memorable things about the DWA service during weeks 51 and 52. Week 51: the DWA service is normal except the washing and sterilization of the parts of cell culture incubators. Last possible day for the washing of those parts is Wed 21.12. And you have to book the washing and sterilization in advance. Week 52: there is only one person in charge Tue, Fri Biochemistry site Wed, Thu Kieppi site Autoclaves are warmed up during those days in the DWA unit in charge. Liquids are put in the autoclave at 10 am. Please bring your items either in the autoclave in Biochemistry unit (room 043A) or in Kieppi unit (room 236B) (Check which unit is in charge). FBMM Christmas party on 9th of December! INFO

Dear all, We have our Christmas party on 9th of December in Ravintola Veranta at 6 p.m. and I would just like to give you some additional info about the evening. If you still have not paid for your registration (10EUR), please, do so ASAP (office L228, Ann-Helen). Thank you! Adress: Ravintola Veranta, Sokos Hotel Arina, 3rd floor, Pakkahuoneenkatu 16, 90100 Oulu Go in through Sokos Hotel Arina doors and take the elevator to the 3rd floor (Sokos Hotel Arina is between Amarillo and Fransmanni in the city center). The dress code for the Christmas party is off course something Christmasy... :) We will have a great program with Tiernapojat, Santa Claus and later in the evening some live music! Remember that if you bring a voluntary gift to the party (max. 5EUR) you will also get one from Santa! There will be 2 drink tickets/person. You will get the tickets when you arrive at the restaurant. With the tickets you will be able to get: One glass of vine (12cl)/small juice/lemonade (0.33l) = 1 drink ticket One beer/cider/lonkero (0.33l)= 2 drink tickets The bar will be open throughout the evening, where you have the possibility to buy your own drinks. For those who were wondering the restaurant promised that people can buy a bottle of vine (Banrock Station Shiraz/Banrock Station Chardonnay) for the cheaper price 19.95EUR/bottle during the evening. :) The restaurant will take the last orders at 1 a.m., after which it is time to take the party elsewhere in the city center if you still want to continue partying! :) We will have a nice evening, with good food and great company!
