DWA-välinehuolto: Jätteiden autoklaavauksesta. About autoclaving waste

Hei Meillä on tällä hetkellä kampuksella käytössä ainoastaan yksi jäteautoklaavi. Nyt jos koskaan on tärkeää lajitella kuivat jätteet erilleen nesteistä. Ottakaa nyt viimeistään käyttöön kaksi jäteroskissankkoa. Merkatkaa ne KUIVA tai NESTE. Näin saamme päivän aikana ajettua mahdollisimman monta sterilointiajoa. Kiitos yhteistyöstä -virpi Dear All At the moment we have only one working autoclave for biological waste treatment on the campus. Now it is very important to separate the dry waste from the liquid waste. Please use two different waste bins, mark them DRY or LIQUID. By this way we can optimize the use of the waste autoclave. Hei Koska vain yksi välinehuoltaja palvelee koko kampusta ainakin seuraavan kahden viikon ajan, niin kaikki tiskintuottajat ovat velvollisia tuomaan ja hakemaan tiskinsä välinehuoltotiloista. Ohjeistus koskee sekä Kieppiä että Biokemian päätä. Muistathan hakea tiskit seuraavana päivänä pois, ettei ahtaat tilat täyty laatikoista ja kärryistä. Autoklaavausta on molemmissa päissä aina kun tarvetta tulee. Nesteet on tuotava välinehuoltoon tavalliseen tapaan viimeistään klo 10. Kiitos avuliaasta yhteistyöstä terveisin virpi Dear All We have only one person in charge in the DWA unit of Kontinkangas campus. This means, that you have to bring and fetch the dishes yourself from the DWA facility. This rule is valid in both of the units, in Kieppi and Biochemistry site. Please remember to fetch the cleaned items away from the DWA unit on next day. There isn't extra space for storage within the DWA units. Autoclaving is taking place in both of the units. Please bring the liquids to the autoclaves by 10 o'clock as usual. Thank you for your kind co-operation BR virpi

Lomalla / On holiday

For urgent technical problems, see below: Medical faculty technical services will be closed during the week of July 17 (week 29) and otherwise in July the team staff is minimal. In addition to essential routines, the summer time service will be limited mainly to the first-aid of acute problems (like critical research equipment failures). Air conditioning maintenance next week in the whole Kieppi building.

Olympus confocal problems

Hi all, The Olympus confocal (4th floor) is currently out of order. The computer is not working properly at the moment. I managed to get it running yesterday but the fault appeared again so I'm not sure where the problem might be. If it's the system board for the computer then I don't unfortunately have any spares for it at the moment. Hei, Palokelloja testataan lääketieteen kampuksella torstaina 6.7. ja perjantaina 7.7. kello 7.30-15.00, palokellot pirahtavat testin aikana useasti. Fire bells will be tested in the medical campus area on Thursday, July 6th and Friday, July 7th between 7.30-15.00. The fire bells will be rung several times during the test.
