Hei kaikki, Dear all, alla ohjeita ja muistutusta tilojen ylläpidosta ja roskien lajittelusta, a general reminder and some instructions about the maintenance of our facilities and waste sorting. BCO-KIEPPITILOJEN YLEINEN YLLÄPITO, JÄTTEIDEN LAJITTELU JA KIERRÄTYS KAHVIHUONEET Kahvihuoneissa on erilliset roska-astiat: 1) biojäte, 2) sekajäte 3) metalli, 4) lasi (ei laboratoriolasi), ja uutena 5) kartonkikeräys. Lajitelkaa roskanne näihin. Ruoka- ja juomajätteitä tulisi metalli-, lasi- ja kartonkijätteissä olla minimimäärä, jotta hajuhaittoja ei tule ja astiat pysyvät siisteinä. Tällä hetkellä muovijätteelle ei ole lajitteluastiaa. JÄÄKAAPIT JA RUOKAKAAPIT Jääkaapeissa ja ruokakaapeissa olevien pakkausten tulee olla merkitty henkilön nimellä. Omat vanhat ruoka-ainekset tulee jokaisen hävittää ensi tilassa, jotta ne eivät pilaa muita tuotteita. TOIMISTOT Huomioithan, että toimistoja ei siivota joka päivä. Siivouspäivät on merkitty ovenpieleen. Toimistoissa on paperikierrätyslaatikko ja yleisroskakori. Toimiston roskakoreihin ei saa laittaa ruokajätteitä, tai niiden pakkauksia, vaan ne on vietävä kahvihuoneen roskakoreihin. LABORATORIOT Laboratorioissa on noudatettava erityistä siisteyttä ja järjestystä turvallisuussyistä. Laboratorioroskat kuuluvat laboratorioihin. Etenkin terävien esineiden (neulat, veitset, ym) suhteen on oltava huolellisia, ja niiden jättäminen työpöydille suojaamatta on kielletty. Terävien esineiden hävitykseen on laboratoriossa omat keräysastiat, eikä niitä saa laittaa tavallisen roskan sekaan. Laboratoriolasia ei saa laittaa keittiön kierrätyslasiastiaan, vaan se laitetaan lasiroskakoriin, joista se viedään ulos sekajätteisiin. WC:t WC-roskakoreihin ei tule viedä roskia muualta. PAHVILAATIKOT Tyhjät pahvilaatikot on litistettävä ja vietävä pahvinkeräystelineeseen. Ne eivät kuulu laboratorio- tai toimistoroskakoreihin. Kiitos kaikille! Noudatamme yliopiston ohjeistusta tilojen käyttöön ja lajitteluun liittyen. BCO-KIEPPI GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND SORTING AND RECYCLING OF WASTE COFFEE ROOMS Coffee rooms have bins for 1) organic waste, 2) mixed waste, 3) metal, 4) glass (not for laboratory glass) and the new 5) packaging board waste bin. Please, sort your waste into these and keep the food or drink leftovers in the metal, glass and packaging board waste in minimum to prevent bad smells and to keep the bins clean. Currently there is no recycling for plastic. REFRIGERATORS AND FOOD CUPBOARDS Food items stored in fridges and food cupboards have to be labelled with names. Own old items have to be thrown away asap, so that they do not contaminate other items. OFFICES Note that the offices are not cleaned daily. The cleaning days are marked by the door. The offices have paper recycling box and a general office waste basket. Do not put food waste, or their packages, into them, but bring them into kitchen for disposal. LABORATORIES In laboratories special cleanliness and order has to be taken due to laboratory safety reasons. Laboratory waste has to be put to waste baskets in laboratories, do not take it elsewhere. Especially with sharp items (needles, knives etc) you have to be careful and leaving them unprotected to the tables is forbidden. Sharp items have to be disposed by collecting them into their specific collection boxes in the laboratories. Laboratory glass is not recyclable and it should not be taken to coffee rooms, but collected separately in laboratories in glass waste. TOILETS It is not allowed to take garbage from other rooms to toilet waste baskets. CARDBOARD BOXES Empty cardboard boxes have to be flattened out and taken to the specific rack. They do not belong to waste baskets in laboratories or offices. Thank you all! We follow the University general rules for maintenance and recycling. Safety walks in BCO-Kieppi (Aapistie 5A) in February

Dear BCO-Kieppi people, Please, remind new employees: We will again organize so-called "safety walks" for BCO-Kieppi people who have not yet participated in them. We will walk through our premises and locate the emergency exits, fire alarms, fire extinguishers etc, check the meeting point for emergencies, and talk about safety. Participation to this about 30 min walk is obligatory for everybody. This is organized for your own safety. The next tour: in Finnish February 2, starting at 14.00, in English February 3. Starting point for the tours is top of the main staircase 4th floor. See you there! The vision of the program is to support excellent and ambitious young researchers to succeed with the difficult transition from postdoc to the first independent research leadership position. It is open to talented young researchers (2-5 years from their PhD). The program provides both good options to do research in an excellent environment at BRIC in Copenhagen and to train research leadership skills. Deadline to apply is February 22. LEAD is supported by the H2020 Marie S. Curie program and we will accordingly only recruit internationally. The age from PhD limit is set, so that they in the last year of the fellowship, will fit the ERC StG call. The intention is not that they stay at BRIC for a PI position, but we will support them in obtaining their first position/starting grant. We offer fully paid 3-year fellowships with social benefits and pension, as well as focused training in research leadership and career development. In total, 16 fellows will be recruited to the program. Pay attention to this 2 meters also in coffee and lunch rooms! Yliopiston tilat ovat käytettävissä sellaisiin työtehtäviin tai sellaiseen opetukseen, jota ei voida suorittaa etänä. Kaikissa tilanteissa pyritään pitämään 2 metrin etäisyys ja työskentely- tai opiskelutilanteita ei voi suunnitella niin, että etäisyyden pitäminen ei olisi mahdollista. Suositus on tehdä etätöitä kaikissa niissä tehtävissä, joissa se on mahdollista. Flunssaoireiden kanssa on syytä olla erityisen huolellinen. Jos tietää altistuneensa koronalle tai oireet täsmäävät juuri siihen, kampukselle ei saa tulla. Oulun yliopisto suosittelee käyttämään suu-nenäsuojainta yliopiston tiloissa aina, kun se on mahdollista. THL suosittelee kasvomaskin käyttöä aina, jos samassa tilassa työskentelee tai oleskelee useampia henkilöitä. Suojainta ei tarvitse kuitenkaan käyttää esimerkiksi silloin, kun henkilö työskentelee yksin esimerkiksi omassa työhuoneessaan. Tiloissa työskentelevän henkilön on noudatettava näitä määräyksiä: * Sellaiset tehtävät tai tehtävien osat, jotka voidaan suorittaa häiriintymättömästi etätyönä, suositellaan tehtäviksi etätyönä. * Yliopiston tilat ovat käytettävissä työntekijöille sellaisiin tehtäviin, joita ei voida suorittaa etätyönä. * Jokaisen yliopiston tiloissa työskentelevän henkilön on noudatettava yleisiä turvallisuusohjeita, tilakohtaisia riskiarviointien mukaisia ohjeita sekä muita työnantajan antamia määräyksiä. * Työpaikalle ei saa tulla epäiltäessä koronaviruksen aiheuttamaa sairautta (altistuminen ja sopivat oireet). * Henkilöiden välisen etäisyyden on oltava kaikissa tilanteissa vähintään 2 metriä. * Jokaisen on huolehdittava säännöllisestä ja huolellisesta käsihygieniasta. * Suu-nenäsuojainta suositellaan käytettävän kaikissa tilanteissa, joissa se on mahdollista. * Kahvi- ja taukotiloissa on huomioitava turvallisuusohjeet, jotka löytyvät tilojen sisäänkäynneiltä. * Laboratorioissa ja pajoissa on huolehdittava turvallisuudesta ja etäisyyksistä sekä henkilöiden määrästä. The person working in the premises must comply with these regulations: * Tasks or parts of tasks that can be done undisturbed as remote work are still recommended to be done as remote work. * University premises are available to employees for tasks that cannot be completed by remote work. * Working in the university premises no longer requires a separate authorisation procedure that was in place during exceptional circumstances. * Every person working in the university facilities must follow public safety guidelines, spatial risk assessments guidelines and other regulations issued by the employer. * Do not enter the workplace with suspicion of a disease caused by a coronavirus (exposure and suitable symptoms). * In all situations, the distance between persons must be 2 meters. * Everyone should take care of regular and careful hand hygiene. * The university recommends to use face mask on campuses in all situations where it is possible. * Guests can be welcomed with special care and taking care of safety and distances. This also applies, for example, the guiding discussions on thesis.
