FW: Power cut of the whole Kontinkangas campus area in July

Dear all, note that there will be a power cut concerning the Kontinkangas campus at the end of July. The estimated time is up to five hours. In Kieppi building (Aapistie 5A): Wed 30.7. klo 21-01, in Aapistie 5B: 29.7. 17-22 and in Aapistie 7: 30.7. 16-21, see the attached map with schedules. Please, check whether this causes any special pre- and/or afterwork for the expensive and sophisticated instruments. In case a backup power is needed for the time , let me know, there will be some instruments available from ISS (only for very,very special need). terv. Safety walks for new people in BCO-Kieppi

Dear BCO-Kieppi people, We will again organize so-called "safety walks" for BCO-Kieppi people who have not yet participated in them. Please, inform your new group members. We will walk through our premises and locate the emergency exits, fire alarms, fire extinguishers etc, check the meeting point for emergencies, and talk about safety. Participation to this about 30 min walk is obligatory for everybody. This is organized for your own safety. The next possibility to participate: June 11, starting at 14.00 in Finnish, and in English starting at 15.00. Starting point for the tours is top of the Aapistie 5A main staircase, 4th floor. Data4Healthcare Programme Kick-Off Event Join us for the kick-off event of the Data4Healthcare programme on May 26th at 12:00 at the University of Oulu, Kontinkangas campus. This event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the exciting research being conducted within the programme. The programme aims to advance research and career development in the fields of big data, data analytics, machine vision, and artificial intelligence. Everyone is welcome to participate and hear from the researchers themselves. After the presentations, there will be a networking session starting tentatively at 14:35, along with catering for registered participants. The event will conclude around 16:00. Data4Healthcare postdoctoral programme is hosted by the University of Oulu and coordinated by the Biocenter Oulu.
