Hello, we are arranging common Christmas party to L-Biok and BCO-kieppi people. The date is 15th of November. We are planning to have a Christmas lunch during the day and then continue the evening together with enjoyable program and snacks. The places and menus are yet to be decided and these depend on number of participants. Please, register your participation to the lists found in the coffee rooms by next Friday 27th of September. If you can’t participate both the lunch and evening party, you can also participate only either one. We may possibly collect a small fee for the evening party. For your information Odyssey infrared reader at Microbiology (room 205A) is not working. The failure is unknown. We are working on arranging the service, but it can take some time to get in touch with the right people and have them in Oulu. Let's hope that the failure is such that we can work on it locally. There are problems for our Stratagene /BCO qPCR machine. It looks normal this Saturday morning (7.9), but another run of my samples in Saturday afternoon took 6 hours instead of 3 hours under normal condition. I found one reason is that each denaturation step at 95oC will take roughly 3-4 minutes (normal 15 seconds). I tried to restart computer and machine, but it didn’t help at all. I hope who can take response to fix it. I’m willing to assist you for checking the problems. Best, Gonghong

Hei Välinehuolto toimii huomenna perjantaina poikkeusjärjestelyin. Tuokaa itse tiskit ja autoklaavattavat klo 10 mennessä Mikrobiologialle. Autoklaavaus hoidetaan fysiologian päässä. Tiskit hoidetaan Mikrolla. Toivomus on, että tuotte tiskit Mikrolle, näin päivittäinen tiski pyörii sujuvasti, eikä ehdi kertyä suuria tiskivuoria kenenkään labroihin. Maanantaina toimitaan normaaliin tapaan. Dear all Tomorrow there is an exception day in dish washing and autoclaving. Please bring all dishes and items to be autoclaved by 10 o'clock in the dish washing facilities at Microbiology. Autoclaving takes place in Physiology facility and dish washing at Microbiology. On Monday the service works normally. But if you have lots of dirty dishes, please bring them to the Microbiology already on Friday. terveisin virpi
