Visit of Terveystalo next week in BCO-Kieppi: Occupational safety and health risk assessment

Dear all, Occupational safety and health risk assessment in BCO-Kieppi laboratories continues next Wednesday27, at 9-11. We will have the first visit of Terveystalo; they will discuss about the preliminary results of the survey and collect further information. The place is 3rd floor meeting room 338B. Everybody welcome! It is important that we have people from all groups/categories. Dear all there will be a presentation about a new type of Flow cytometer, Amnis FlowSight by Millipore people today at 15:00 in the seminar room of Dept of Microbiology in Kieppi building room 289B. this information is coming in short notice, but it would be great if you find time to attend the presentation, if the field interests you. Bio-Rad imager computer on 4th floor

Hi all, The computer for the Bio-Rad imager has now been changed. Please notify me if the device does not operate normally (even though the settings and programs are all identical to the old computer). All the files etc. are in the same places as before. Thanks, Antti

We will soon receive risk assessment forms from Terveystalo both in Finnish and English. Each should fill the risk assessment form and return to Pirkko Huhtala by February 1st. The information is kept confidential. No name is needed and return the form as a paper version. Forms are summarized and forwarded to Terveystalo. Terveystalo will visit BCO on 27th of February klo 9-11.00 In this meeting for us all Terveystalo will tell risk form results and interview employees. Later in March occupational health doctor Aino Laukkanen and nurse Elina Vakkila from Terveystalo will come to check your working environment. Cores and research groups will be devided into three groups (let you know soon). · 1st visit to the working place 1 is 14th March klo 9-11.30 · 2nd visit to the working place 2 is 19th March klo 9-11.30 · 3rd visit to the working place 3 is STILL OPEN On the 7th of May klo 9-11.30 there will be one more meeting for us all in which Terveystalo representatives will tell the results of the workplace survey. This risk assessment is done every 5-6 years and it is part of University´s routinely performed actions. It is important that as many as possible answers the questionnaires. The work is done for the benefit of us all! Note: The forms will be after all a bit different I talked about in the BCO Kieppi-Info Break. There was/is a problem in Terveystalo in getting the English version.
