Hei valitettavasti Kiepin välinehuollon remontti on pitkittynyt. Kiepin tiloja ei voida avata vielä ensi viikolla. Niinpä Biokemian välinehuolto palvelee koko kampusta ensi viikon ajan. Hi Unfortunately the refurbishment work in Kieppi DWA unit is still going on. Kieppi unit cannot be opened next week. 4th floor freezer room 443 (-20C)

Hi all, There have been some temperature fluctuations today with the 4th floor freezer room. One reason might be because the door was left open today for a while and it might have been during a defreeze cycle of the freezer unit. So please always close the door properly!! Some safety neglects in laboratories

Dear Kieppi-people, There are some safety neglects in laboratories I have been notified of (with photos). Scalpels (without any protective cover) placed in beakers sharp end up and lying on tables. Needles without and with covers lying on tables. There is no excuse for this. Better laboratory practices are required from everybody, from post docs to trainees and visitors. Do not leave sharp items around. This is to protect those who use these items, others working in the same laboratory, and the cleaning personnel. Please, have a look around and see whether there are things to be improved, and fix them. Thank you! Hei Muistakaahan hakea puhtaat tiskit pois välinehuollosta viimeistään kahden päivän kuluttua likaisten viennistä. Näin laboratorioihinkaan ei keräänny likaista tiskiä. Nyt kesällä Biokemian pään välinehuolto palvelee koko kampusta ja siellä ei ole tilaa säilyttää puhtaita tiskejä pitkää aikaa. Remember to fetch clean dishes from the DWA unit latest after two days of dirty exports. This also prevents collection of dirty dishes in the labs. During the summer, the Biochemistry Unit serves the entire campus and there is no extra space to store clean dishes for long periods of time. Hei Biokemian pään väliovet ovat lukossa 24/7. LTK:ssa työskentelevillä on henkilökorteissaan / avaimissaan oikeudet välinehuoltoon menevään oveen ma-pe 7:30 - 16:15 välisenä aikana. Lukija on oven vasemmalla puolella. Laitan opasteita käytäville ja oviin, niin löydätte perille kesäaikana palvelevaan välinehuoltoyksikköön. [cid:image003.png@01D52778.01970190] Hi The doors in FBMM are locked 24/7. All employees (also persons with grant money) have access rights in their keys to the DWA unit during summer Mon- Fri 7:30 - 16:15. The key reader is on the left side of the door.
