Dear collegeagues, Today is my last day at the Biocenter Oulu, as I am starting a new job in Biocenter Kuopio in June. Hei kaikki Kiepissä oleva puhdas autoklaavi on huollossa huomenna perjantaina 18.5. Niinpä Kiepissä ei voi steriloida nesteitä eikä kuivatavaraa. Tänään autoklaavi toimii normaalisti. Hätätapauksessa viethän autoklaavattavat tuotteet Biokemian pään autoklaaviin perjantaina. -virpi Dear all The autoclave in Kieppi is having a maintenance service on Friday 18.5. Data storage from IT services

Hi all, Just as a reminder if you are looking for more secure place for your data. The price for a backup-protected data storage provided by the IT-services is 150 euros/per year (0.15 euros per 1GB) for 1TB which I think is reasonable. Please note that any data that is on your C-drive, desktop, external USB-drive or a NAS-drive is not as secure as a proper tape-backup system. BRs, Antti

Välinehuolto/DWA: Kiepin välinehuolto on suljettuna ma 30.4. / Kieppi facility is closed on Monday April 30th

Hei kaikki Kiepin välinehuolto on suljettuna maanantaina 30. huhtikuuta peruspesujen vuoksi. Tilaan ei saa tuoda mitään tavaroita ko. päivänä eikä viikonloppuna. Ei tiskejä, ei autoklavattavaa eikä jätettä. Lisäksi pyydän, että ette tuo tavaroita perjantaina 27.4. klo 12 jälkeen ja haette kaikki kärryt pois välinehuoltotiloista perjantai-iltapäivään mennessä. Meidän pitää saada tilat tyhjennettyä siivousta varten. Kevätsiivousterveisin -virpi Dear all The DWA unit in Kieppi is closed on Monday 30 April due to basic washing of floors etc. No goods shall be brought to the Unit on that day or during the weekend. No dishes, no goods for autoclave nor waste. In addition, I ask that you do not bring any goods on Friday 27.4. after 12 o'clock, and get all the trolleys off by Friday. We need to have the DWA unit cleared for the cleaning on Friday. With Cleaning regards -virpi .. . . . . . . . . . . .
