If you are using your home directory as a mapped drive from a Biocenter computer which is not otherwise connected to UNIV, please disconnect from the drive also before 4pm tomorrow. If you have questions about the transfer, please contact the Tietohallinto servicedesk.

Lääketieteellisen tiedekunnan Univ-käyttäjien kotihakemistot siirretään uuteen levyjärjestelmään perjantaina 21.9.2012 klo 16:00 alkaen. Siirrosta aiheutuu kotihakemistojen käyttökatko, joka kestää maanantaiaamuun saakka. Tuona aikana kotihakemistoista ei voi avata eikä tallentaa tiedostoja.
Pyydämme käyttäjiä kirjautumaan ulos työasemaltaan viimeistään klo 16:00 perjantaina. Siirto ei vaadi käyttäjältä muita toimenpiteitä. Ainoastaan jos käyttäjä on saanut sähköpostilla ilmoituksen kotihakemiston tilan loppumisesta, pitää asia korjata ennen siirtoa. Muussa tapauksessa käyttäjä saattaa menettää Documents-kansion tiedostonsa, jotka eivät ole synkronoituneet kotihakemiston tilan loppumisen johdosta. Kannettavien tietokoneiden käyttäjien on hyvä huomioida että kotihakemiston kiintiö (joka sisältää myös Documents-kansion) ei toimi käyttäjän poistuessa yliopiston sisäverkosta. Tuolloin käyttäjä voi tallentaa Documents-kansioonsa tiedostoja rajoituksetta. Kun kannettava tietokone palautuu taas sisäverkkoon, yrittää se synkronoida paikallisen Documents-kansion tiedostot käyttäjän kotihakemistoon.
Käyttäjille kytketään kotihakemisto uudesta paikasta maanantaina kirjautumisen yhteydessä. Käyttäjälle tämä näkyy kotihakemiston (K:) polkuna \lipasto\kotidir0x$\käyttäjätunnusfile:///\\lipasto\kotidir0x$\käyttäjätunnus. Jatkossa koivun ja Univ-palvelun kotihakemisto ovat yksi ja sama hakemisto yhteisine tiedostoineen.
Home directories of the personnel of the Faculty of Medicine will be migrated to a new storage system starting on Friday the 21st of September at 16 o'clock. The migration will cause an access break for home directories until Monday morning. During the migration users can't access (open or save) any documents or files residing in the home directory.
We ask the personnel to log off from their workstation at latest on Friday at 16.00 o'clock. Migration does not require any other user action. Only if a user has received a notification by email regarding lack of home directory quota, issue must take care before migration. Otherwise, user could lose files in the Documents folder, which haven't been synchronized because lack of free space in the home directory. Laptop users should pay attention that home directory quota (which includes Documents-folder) is not functional when user leaves the internal network. In that case, the user can save files to Documents-folder without limit. When laptop returns to the internal network, it tries to synchronize files from local Documents-folder to the user home directory.
Users will be connected to a new home directory on Monday during log in, and will see a new home directory (K:) path \lipasto\kotidir0x$\useridfile:///\\lipasto\kotidir0x$\userid. After the migration the user's home directory in koivu will be the same as in Univ with shared files.
