Hi,
Reminder: Method Course on Immunohistochemistry and Digital Microscopy, Sept 22-23.
Apply via https://www.webropolsurveys.com/S/9DCD75047E01BA88.par, there are still some places left! - Registration deadline in Sept 1.
There has been a minor change in the practical part: human tissue slides are used instead of mouse, and the slides are provided by the teachers.
A printable pdf version of the updated programme is available at http://www.oulu.fi/sites/default/files/content/Immunohisto_Course_Oulu_2015_....
Best wishes, Ritva
Method Course on Immunohistochemistry and Digital Microscopy (1 ECTS) September 22-23, 2015, Oulu, Kontinkangas, Aapistie 5A, 90220 Oulu
The course includes short lectures on each step of the immunohistochemistry protocol. Additionally, you get to experience hands-on the micropolymer detection method with human tissue samples. Micropolymer detection enables superior sensitivity and reduced background staining compared to the traditional avidin-biotin-based detection. In the course, we will this time perform simultaneous chromogenic multiplex staining on a paraffin section. Is it as easy as doing a single stain? Come and see!
The 1-day practical course is preceded by a lecture on digital microscopy. Registration is required.
Note: The course organisers will provide enough slides for all participants, but also own slides can be used, if they are prepared from human tissue. All course participants will use the same antibody provided by the teachers, which has not yet been tested for tissues from other species.
Tuesday, 22nd of September, Biocenter Oulu meeting room 487B
14.00-16.00 Lecture on digital microscopy. Open to everyone interested, registration required.
