Dear BCO-Kieppi people,
This is a busy season, but have a look what should be done before the holiday season to keep your samples safe:
1.
Please check your belongings in cold rooms +4°C and freezing rooms -20°C and clean away unimportant, forgotten tubes and boxes. When using common spaces for storage the goods, it is important that you: keep
the goods in good order and mark the goods both with Your name and Your Group’s name
2.
There should be a name list with phone number of a contact person of every research group/Core facility who stores in these cold/freezer rooms. This is to be able to inform people to come and take care of their
most important samples in an emergency (which usually occur during holidays!).
Note, for instance in case of a warm up of a large freezer room, the
space to move the stuff-in is limited. I will prepare lists for you to fill-in by the cold/freezer rooms.
3.
There should be an up-to-date name list with phone number of contact persons of every research group
by -70C freezers.
4.
The main list of all equipment and room
responsible persons is to be updated. I will send it to the groups and cores to be checked.
