Oulun yliopisto suosittelee määräaikaisesti 29.10-12.11.2020 käyttämään suu-nenäsuojainta kaikissa julkisissa sisätiloissa  ja yleisötilaisuuksissa Oulun kaupungin alueella. Suositus koskee yli 15-vuotiaita. Suositus koskee siten kaikkia yliopistomme tiloja,  mutta ei kuitenkaan sellaisia tilanteita, joissa 1–2 metrin turvaväli voidaan varmuudella ylläpitää tai kun henkilö työskentelee esimerkiksi yksin omassa työhuoneessaan.

Face mask is one of the ways to prevent the spread of coronavirus infections. The primary priority is to keep safe distances of 1—2 m whenever possible, to wash hands, cough into a paper handkerchief or the sleeve, and avoid contact with the face. In addition to this, in accordance with the Regional COVID-19 Coordination Group recommendations, the University of Oulu recommends during 29.10.-12.11.2020 to use the face masks in all public indoor spaces of the University. The recommendation applies to all facilities at our university, but not to situations where a security interval of 1 to 2 metres can be maintained with certainty or when a person is working alone in their own office, for example.
