Oulun yliopiston lisensoimien F-Secure virustorjuntaohjelmien käyttö kotikoneilla päättyy

F-Secure Client Security 9-sarjan kaikkien eri tuoteversioiden tuki päättyy 6.2.2014, jonka jälkeen F-Secure Client Security 9-sarjan ohjelmille ei saa enää päivityksiä eikä tukipalveluita. Vanhojen F-Secure Client Security tai Anti-Virus for Workstations versioiden käyttö voi aiheuttaa vakavan tietoturvariskin, joten ne tulee poistaa ja korvata uudella virustorjuntaohjelmalla.

F-Secure 10

Kotitietokoneilla ei ole mahdollista käyttää F-secure Client Security 10.x tai F-secure Anti-Virus for Workstations 10.x –versioita, koska ne  edellyttävät yhteyttä yliopiston verkossa olevaan F-Securen hallintapalvelimeen asennuksen ja käyttöönoton aikana.

Mikäli ei haluta hankkia kaupallista virustorjuntaohjelman lisenssiä jälleenmyyjältä voi kotikoneella käyttää esimerkiksi näitä ilmaisia tietoturvatuotteita

Windows Defender ja Windows SmartScreen sisältyvät Windows 8:aan ja Windows RT:hen ja suojaavat PC:tä viruksilta, vakoiluohjelmilta ja muilta haittaohjelmilta reaaliajassa, lisätietoa täältä:

University of Oulu licensed F-Secure Antivirus software home use ends

Support  of F-Secure Client Security 9 and all the different product versions end 6th February 2014. This means that F-Secure Client Security 9 series programs cannot be updated and support service is not available. The old F-Secure Client Security or Anti-Virus for Workstations versions can cause a serious security risk and therefore should be removed and replaced by a new anti-virus software.

F-Secure 10

It is not possible to use F-Secure Client Security 10.x or F-Secure Anti-Virus for Workstations 10.x versions at home computer,  because installation and  implementation needs  a connection to the University's F-Secure Management Server. Stand-alone version is not part of our current license.
