Dear BCO-Kieppi people,
Biocenter Oulu participates in the “Science day of the University” on September 10 by providing two workshops for high school students. Biocenter Oulu wants to give the students a short but inspiring and exciting life science/molecular medicine experience that may increase their interest to these fields.
- The workshops are arranged by DNA-core (Minna Männikkö) and light microscopy core (Veli-Pekka Ronkainen). Warm thanks for them and their teams for taking this extra load of work!
- The workshops will take place in the 4th floor by the corresponding cores and the seminar rooms on 3rd and 4th floor.
- We will have about 40 students in the 4th floor during 9-11 and 13-15. The students will be kept in small groups and under control (hopefully!). Unfortunately, there may be some disturbance for many of you on that day. This is apologized but our responsibility is to participate in this type of activity offered for the public.
Besides the BCO workshops there will be also several other workshops in the medical campus. I hope that everybody keeps a positive and helpful attitude towards the students!
