Invitation to an AddHoc seminar thursday
15.10. Time 15-16
Biocenter Oulu organizes an
AddHoc seminar that will be given by Dr. Margarita Glazova. Dr. M. Glasova is currently a visiting scientist in the
University of Oulu, Biocenter Oulu, the laboratory of developmental
biology. During her stay Dr. Glasova has fosuced to develop renal tissue
engineering methodologies wirh Dr. I.
Skovorodkin.
Dr. Glasova
has worked in USA during 2002-2005 in the Univ. of East Carolina, in Dept. of
Physiology in the lab. of Prof. Murashov. During this time Dr. Glasova
developed recovery methdos for the central nervous system (CNS) lesions based on
the use of differentiated embryonic stem cell (ES) derived neural stem cells.
She also addressed the cell and molecular biology of the ES cell
mediated the recovery process. In her BCO AddHoc seminar Margarita
will tell us about the neural stem cells and how these have been used to
recover deficiencies in the CNS.
Time of the
AddHoc seminar: 15.10.09 - 15-16
Lecture
Hall: Medical campus, P117 (the door next to the door of KEKS, ground
floor)
Talk given by Dr.
Margarita Glazova (Rus . Acad . Sci .):
Title:
"Pre-differentiated embryonic stem cells as a tool to promote
spinal cord neuronal regeneration "
