Välinehuollon työntekijöiden ei ole enää mahdollista tehdä sterilointipusseja käyttäjille. Biokemian päässä käytävällä, lähellä autoklaavihuonetta, on pöytä, jossa on erilaisia pussiaihioita ja rullia sterilointiletkua. Näistä sopivan kokoisiksi leikatuista aihioista ja rullista voit itse tehdä tarvitsemasi kokoisia pusseja. Pöydältä löytyy sakset ja saumauskone pussien saumaamiseen. Saumauskoneen käyttöohje on laitteen päältä seinältä. Kysy tarvittaessa apua välinehuoltajilta.
HUOM! Suljethan (saumaathan) pussit itse ennen kuin viet pussit steriloitaviksi!

Dear All The DWA personnel is no longer able to make sterilization pouches for users. In the hallway at the FBMM, close to the autoclave room, there is a table with various pouch blanks and rolls of sterilization tubing. From these blanks and rolls cut to the appropriate size, you can make pouches of the size you need. On the table, you'll find scissors and a sealing machine for sealing the pouches. The operating instructions for the sealing machine are on a wall above the device. If necessary, ask DWA personnel for help.
NOTE! Please seal the pouches yourself before bringing them for sterilization!

Kontinkankaan välinehuolto toimii ainoastaan yhdessä paikassa eli Biokemian päässä.
Järjestely on harmittava Aapistie 5A ja 5B laboratorioiden osalta. Olemme päätyneet tähän ratkaisuun molempien tiedekuntien dekaanien kanssa yhteisymmärryksessä, jotta nykyisessä taloudellisessa tilanteessa (= ei ole tarvetta huoltaa tai uusia kahden yksikön kalliita laitteita) ja henkilöstöllä pystymme tuottamaan edelleen laadukasta välinehuoltopalvelua.
Jotta välinehuoltaja(t) ehtivät tekemään laadukkaan perustyönsä laboratoriotarvikkeiden pesun, desinfioinnin ja steriloinnin sekä biologisen jätteen käsittelyn osalta pyydän kaikkia huomioimaan seuraavat uudet käytänteet:
1. KULJETUSKÄRRYJÄ EI SAA JÄTTÄÄ välinehuoltoon, vain astiat/tavarat jätetään laatikoissa tiskihuoneen pöydälle. Prosessin läpikäyneet puhtaat astiat löytyvät välinehuoltokäytävän pöydältä laatikoissa. Valitettavasti välinehuollossa ei ole tilaa useiden kärryjen säilytykseen, joten kärryt pitää ottaa mukaan omiin tiloihin. Käytävät ovat poistumisteitä, joita ei saa kaventaa ja täyttää irtotavaroilla.
2. Kun haet puhtaan tiskin, niin muista myös kurkistaa autoklaavihuoneeseen F043A. Sieltä löytyvät mm. steriloidut instrumentit, autoklavoidut lasi- ja muovituotteet, vesipullot, ym. puhdistus- ja autoklaavausprosessin läpikäyneet tuotteet ja tarvikkeet.
3. Välinehuoltajat eivät enää laita jätepusseja jäteastioihin. Puhtaat jäteastiat ja isot, autoklavointiin soveltuvat jätepussit löytyvät jäteautoklaavihuoneen lattialta ja hyllyltä.
Välinehuollon toimintatavat kehittyvät tulevien kuukausien aikana. Olkaa yhteydessä minuun mieltä askarruttavissa asioissa. Pyritään löytämään yhdessä ratkaisuja jouhevaan palveluun. terveisin virpi
Dear All,
DWA service at Kontinkangas campus now operates solely at the Biochemistry facility.
The arrangement is inconvenient for the laboratories at Aapistie 5A and 5B. We have reached this decision in agreement with the deans of both faculties, so that in the current economic situation (meaning there is no need to maintain or replace expensive equipment for two units) and with the existing staff, we can continue to provide quality DWA services.
In order for the DWA staff to carry out their basic tasks of washing, disinfecting, and sterilizing laboratory equipment, as well as handling biological waste effectively, please take note of the following new practices:
* DO NOT LEAVE TROLLEYS in the DWA area; only dishes/items should be left in boxes on the washing room table. Clean dishes that have gone through the process will be found on the table in the DWA corridor in boxes. Unfortunately, there is not enough space in the DWA area to store multiple trolleys, so they must be taken back to your labs. The corridors are evacuation routes that must not be narrowed or filled with loose items.
* When collecting clean dishes, remember to check the autoclave room F043A. There you will find sterilized instruments, autoclaved glass and plastic items, water bottles, and other items and supplies that have gone through the cleaning and autoclaving process.
* DWA staff will no longer place waste bags in the bins. Clean waste bins and large bags suitable for autoclaving can be found on the shelves in the waste autoclave room.
