DWA-välinehuolto: autoclaving of biological waste moves to Kieppi because of malfunctioning airconditioning system in the autoclave room.

Unfortunately from today, June 14th we have to start autoclaving all biological waste in Kieppi.
Please, carry all your biological waste for disposal in Kieppi DWA unit room 237B.
You will find clean autoclave bins in room 239B. There will be more guidance given next week.
The waste autoclave in FBMM site cannot be used because of a broken air-cooling system in the waste autoclave room F037B. The room temperature rises above 32 degrees which means that the autoclave cannot be used. SYK has plans to repair the air conditioning machine, but the schedule is not known yet.
The dish washing and clean item autoclaving remains in FBMM DWA unit. The is NO washing service in Kieppi.

The air conditioning on Biochemistry site has proven to work normally.
This means that the biological waste will be autoclaved in Biochemistry site in ROOM F037B from July 18th onwards. You can find empty bins and bags there.
Please, do not bring any waste to be autoclaved in Kieppi anymore, exept BSL2.
