4th Finnish Molecular Ecology and Evolution meeting & PhD course!

Dear colleagues - especially the Phd students among you, please note the meeting info below: PhD students will also be able to get course credits from this - this is a great way to learn about the diverse questions where molecular genetics tools can be applied, and also a great way to present your own work in a friendly atmosphere and network with colleagues from other Finnish universities! Heikki, Laura and Lumi From: Heikki Helanterä Sent: maanantai 28. kesäkuuta 2021 8.46 To: molecular_ecology_finland(a)lists.utu.fi Subject: 4th Finnish Molecular Ecology and Evolution meeting Dear colleagues, an update from the organizing committee of the 4th Finnish Molecular Ecology and Evolution meeting before we all disappear for well-earned holidays: the meeting is planned to take place face-to-face 5-7th Oct 2021, at the Rokua Health and Spa (https://www.rokua.com/) ca. 80km from Oulu. We will organize a bus transport from central Oulu. We will start in the afternoon on the 5th, and finish at lunch on the 7th to facilitate travel to and from Oulu. The program will consist of plenary talks by invited speakers and contributed talks and posters. The emphasis in presentations will be in junior scientists - this is an excellent opportunity to present your work in a friendly atmosphere! And of course there will be time for networking, catching up, and enjoying the scenery at Rokua! We are also very happy to announce that the original set of invited speakers we had planned for 2020 is able to join us on the new dates: Prof. emer.
