This meeting is because we are considering purchasing a DNA/RNA/Protein extraction robot with ANTS infrastructure money. I attach a brochure of their equipment. Optimally, buying an equipment like this would save our funds and time. The benefits would be maximized if as many of us as possible would turn using this instead of traditional costly and time-consuming extractions protocols. Problems with ventilation of the office spaces

ISS told me the reason is they are updating the automation for the ventilation system. The ventilation should return to normal by tomorrow. BR, Petri Sundqvist

Paritöiden liittäminen yhteen Kun opiskelija ilmoittaa Laturissa tekevänsä opinnäytetyönsä yhdessä toisen opiskelijan kanssa, järjestelmä vaatii ohjaajaa liittämään työt yhteen. Yhteen liitetyssä työssä arvioinnin kopioiminen kaikille työn tekijöille on mahdollista. Yhteen liitetty työ siirtyy myös Jultikaan oikein kaikkien tekijöiden osalta. 1. Ulkopuolisen ohjaajan lisääminen Oulun yliopiston henkilökuntaan kuuluva pääohjaaja voi lisätä ulkopuolisen ohjaajan nimen Laturiin. Hyväksyjän täytyy normaalisti käydä hyväksymässä myös ulkopuolinen ohjaaja rooliinsa. Ulkopuoliset ohjaajat eivät pääse toimimaan Laturissa ilman UFO-tunnuksia, joten pääohjaajan tulee hoitaa tarvittavat toimenpiteet ja kirjaukset Laturissa. Kun ulkopuolisen ohjaajan tiedot lisätään Laturiin, siirtyvät hänen tietonsa työn valmistuttua sekä Peppi -opintotietojärjestelmään että kirjaston järjestelmiin ja näin ollen ulkopuolisen ohjaajan työ opinnäytetyön ohjaajana tulee näkyväksi. 1. Erillisen arviointidokumentin liittäminen pdf-tiedostona Laturissa on nyt mahdollista liittää arviointi myös erillisenä pdf-tiedostona. Arvioinnit ovat myös tulostettavissa pdf-muotoon arviointikokouksia tai vastaavia varten. 1. Kandidaatintyöt voidaan palauttaa muokattavaksi ennen hyväksyntää Nyt myös kandidaatintöitä on mahdollista palauttaa opiskelijalle korjausta/muokkausta varten. 1. Laturin välitarkastuspisteisiin voi lisätä dokumentteja Laturin välitarkastuspisteisiin on nyt mahdollista ladata dokumentteja. Dokumenttien lataus on mahdollista sekä ohjaajalle että opiskelijalle. Näin opiskelija voi ladata esimerkiksi työn senhetkisen version halutessaan sovitulle välitarkastuspisteelle. 1. Arvioinnin tallentaminen luonnoksena Arviointilomakkeen tallentaminen luonnoksena ja sen täydentäminen loppuun myöhemmin on nyt mahdollista Laturi -järjestelmässä. 1. Combining joint theses If the student informs that the thesis is joint thesis, the system requires supervisor to combine theses together. When authors are linked together, it is possible to copy the review for all of them. After combining authors, the joint thesis will end up correctly in Jultika for all the authors. 1. Adding the supervisor outside the University of Oulu The supervisor of the University of Oulu can add the name of the supervisor who is not the staff of the University. The approver needs to approve him/her in to this role, as the normal process goes. The supervisor outside the University of Oulu cannot act in Laturi unless she/he has an UFO user account. Because of that the supervisor of the University of Oulu needs on do all the needed acts in Laturi on behalf of the supervisor outside the UNI. When the name of the supervisor outside the UNI is added, his/her name will end up in the library systems and Peppi as a supervisor of that thesis. 1. Possibility to upload review documents as pdf -files Now it's possible to attach review documents as pdf -files in Laturi. It is also possible to print them if they are needed in review meetings or in comittees. 1. Possibility to return also Bachelor's theses for editing The supervisor can now return also Bachelor's theses for students to be edited. 1. Possibility to upload documents to check points Students and supervisors are able to upload documents to check points. The student can upload certain drafts to agreed check points. 1. Possibility to save the review as a draft It is possible to save the review as a draft in Laturi and supplement it later. 1. Possibility to change the reviewer if needed The Approver can now change the Reviewer in Laturi if needed. Komiteens sammensetting 4.2.3 Førsteamanuensis og førstelektor Komiteen skal bestå av minst tre medlemmer. Minst ett av medlemmene må ha kompetanse over førstestillingsnivå. De øvrige må minst ha førsteamanuensiskompetanse når det gjelder vurdering av søkere til førsteamanuensisstilling, og minst førstestillingskompetanse når det gjelder vurdering av søkere til førstelektorstilling. For førsteamanuensisstilling må minst ett av medlemmene i komiteen være tilsatt i et fagmiljø som har fått ansvar for doktorgradsutdanning. Dette kan fravikes for bedømmelseskomité som skal vurdere søkere på grunnlag av kunstneriske kvalifikasjoner. Bare ett medlem av komiteen kan være fra UiT. Begge kjønn skal om mulig være representert. Dersom dette ikke er mulig, skal det redegjøres særskilt for dette. 4.2.5 Ledelse av komiteen Ett av medlemmene i komiteen oppnevnes som leder. Vedkommende skal, i tillegg til å delta i bedømmelsen, koordinere komiteens arbeid og sørge for arbeidets framdrift. Det kan også oppnevnes en egen administrerende leder for komiteen. Denne deltar ikke i bedømmelsen. Leder/administrerende leder skal normalt ha tilknytning til UiT. 4.2.6 Spesialsakkyndige Bedømmelseskomiteen kan be om at det oppnevnes spesialsakkyndige for å uttale seg om deler av søkernes produksjon, herunder også om søkernes utdanningsfaglige kompetanse. The cross-cutting priority in the programmes is resilience The Strategic Research Council (SRC) is an independent body established within the Academy of Finland tasked with providing funding for long-term excellent research that is aimed at finding solutions to the major challenges facing Finnish society.In addition, strategic research strengthens the renewal and competitiveness of business and industry and supports the development of working life and the public sector. SRC Chair Anu Kaukovirta says that the SRC is preparing to open two six-year research programmes on the new theme. "We find ourselves in the midst of a green transformation. Long-term and multidisciplinary research projects that link different disciplines and perspectives in an unprejudiced manner can build a far-reaching knowledge base for accelerating the green transformation and promoting its fairness.This applies to both the energy transition, resource issues and societal solutions required by the green transformation," Kaukovirta says. Strategic research funding is intended for extensive, multidisciplinary research consortia that carry out research with an emphasis on active interaction and engagement with knowledge users.Strategic research strengthens societal problem-solving capacity and improves the knowledge base of decision-making.From the projects to be funded, the SRC expects active interaction between knowledge producers and knowledge users, covering the entire life cycle of the research, in order to disseminate high-quality research to knowledge users across society.
