Vaccinations and medicines for a work trip/Rokotukset ja lääkkeet työmatkaa varten

When you go on a work trip, find out what vaccinations or medicines are required in the destination country or place. Also consider the nature of the work. For example, if you travel to a conference and work on a computer indoors, the need for vaccinations is different than when you travel for field work and are exposed to various biological exposures. The occupational health service ensures and specifies in more detail the vaccinations and medicines needed on the trip based on the destination location and country and the nature of the work. 1. Ask the line manager to write a free-form certificate about the work trip, which states the following: * To which country or place the trip is made * What time frame is the trip made * What kind of work is done on the trip * What vaccinations and/or medicines are required in the destination country or location 2. Book in advance, 1-2 months before departure, 60 minutes time for an occupational health nurse. 3. Take the certificate drawn up by the line manager with you to the visit. Also explain your previous vaccinations to the occupational health nurse. Vaccinations must be taken and prescriptions written in occupational health care. When the need for vaccinations or medicines is defined in occupational health care and they are found to be work-related, the employee does not receive a taxable benefit. The vaccinations required for the work trip are invoiced by the occupational health care as part of other occupational health care costs. The employee buys the medicines himself and they are reimbursed based on the employee's travel invoice. Huomioi myös työn luonne. Mikäli matkustat esimerkiksi konferenssiin ja teet työtä tietokoneella sisätiloissa, on rokotusten tarve erilainen kuin silloin, kun matkustat maastotöihin ja altistut erilaisille biologisille altisteille. Työterveyshuolto varmistaa ja määrittelee tarkemmin kohdepaikan ja -maan sekä työn luonteen perusteella matkalla tarvittavat rokotukset ja lääkkeet. 1. Pyydä esihenkilöä kirjoittamaan vapaamuotoinen todistus työmatkasta, jossa on kerrottu seuraavat asiat: * Mihin maahan tai paikkaan matka tehdään * Millä ajalla matka tehdään * Minkälaista työtä matkalla tehdään * Mitä rokotuksia ja/tai lääkkeitä kohdemaassa tai -paikassa edellytetään 2. Varaa hyvissä ajoin, 1-2 kk ennen lähtöä, 60 min. aika työterveyshoitajalle. 3. Ota käynnille mukaan esimiehen laatima todistus. Selvitä työterveyshoitajalle myös aiemmat rokotuksesi. Rokotukset tulee ottaa ja lääkemääräykset kirjoittaa työterveyshuollossa. Kun rokotusten tai lääkkeiden tarve määritellään työterveyshuollossa ja ne todetaan työhön liittyviksi, ei työntekijälle muodostu veronalaista etua. Työmatkaa varten tarvittavat rokotukset työterveyshuolto laskuttaa osana muita työterveyshuollon kustannuksia. Lääkkeet työntekijä ostaa itse ja ne korvataan työntekijän tekemän matkalaskun perusteella. Hi In the previous message, we accidentally gave the wrong date for the event. The correct dates for the event are Thursday, *November 30th,* and Friday, *December 1st*. Remember that registration for speakers and poster presenters ends this *Sunday, October 15th.* Audience registration is open till* November 15th.* More information and the link for registration are in the original event announcement below. *Welcome to attend the 27th Kaamos Symposium November 30th - December 1st, 2023!* Doctoral students from the Ecology and Genetics Research Unit at the University of Oulu annually organize a multidisciplinary conference in the field of biology and environmental sciences. This year Kaamos Symposium includes two days of oral presentations, a poster session, a panel discussion, and two workshops. We warmly welcome everyone to participate in the symposium! The symposium will be organized both *live *at the University of Oulu, Finland, and *online *via Zoom. The online streaming will ensure that anyone interested can attend. Attendance is* free of charge* for everyone, and you can attend the whole symposium or any part you find interesting. The symposium welcomes all to present their research. You have the option to give a 20-minute talk or poster presentation, and you can choose to deliver your oral presentation in person or online. The oral presentations will take place in Tellus Backstage at the University of Oulu, Linnanmaa Campus. On the other hand, poster sessions will only be held live in the Botanical Gardens at the University of Oulu. The symposium is an excellent opportunity for everyone, particularly Ph.D. students, to showcase their research, listen to engaging talks, and discuss current topics in biology and environmental sciences. Bachelor's and Master's students who present posters will receive *0,5 extra credits* in addition to the 2 regular credits for attending and writing five reports from Kaamos presentations. Minna From: Minna Vanhatalo Sent: perjantai 13. lokakuuta 2023 10.17 To: biology-students(a)lists.oulu.fi Subject: Lokakuun valmistujien HOPS, Loppuvuoden aikataulu / Graduation PSP October, Schedule for December Hei, Lokakuun valmistuminen ottakaa minuun yhteyttä, jos olette valmistumassa lokakuussa, jotta ehdin tarkastaa ja järjestellä valmistumishopsinne ennen kuin teette valmistumishakemuksen. Hakemus on oltavat Pepissä hyväksyttynä viimeistään viikkoa ennen kuun vaihdetta. Kaikkien suoritusten ei tarvitse näkyä vielä tehtyinä HOPSin tarkastuksessa ja hyväksymisessä, mutta puuttuvat opinnot on oltava arvioituna ja näkyvissä rekisterissä viimeistään 24.10. Tärkeää on ilmoittaa minulle erityisesti mitkä vapaavalintaiset opinnot ovat vielä tulossa tutkintoon ja mitkä opinnot tulette jättämään tutkinnosta pois (FM-tutkintoon, FT-tutkintoon) ja mitä ette tule tekemään. Myös HOPS:in ulkopuolella näkyvien kurssien tilanne on selostettava. Marraskuun valmistuminen Kaikki opinnot rekisterissä, HOPS tarkastettu ja valmistumishakemus tehty ja hyväksytty viimeistään 23.11. Joulukuun valmistuminen Ottakaa huomioon joulukuun valmistumista suunnitellessanne lomakauden vaikutus aikatauluun. Vaikka ohjeiden mukaan joulukuun valmistumista varten valmistumishakemus pitäisi olla viimeistään viikkoa ennen kuun vaihdetta Pepissä, niin käytännössä tämä kuitenkin merkitsee sitä, että kaikki suoritukset tulee olla tehtynä ja hyväksyttynä rekisterissä sekä Valo-hakemus tehtynä ja HOPS tarkastettuna ennen lomakauden alkua eli viimeistään alkuviikosta viikolla 51 (18.12.). LuK-tutkielman ja gradun tarkastuksen opettajilla on 3 viikkoa aikaa tarkastaa työ eli käytännössä työ tulee olla Laturissa viimeistään marras-joulukuun vaihteessa. Jos haluaisitte tuota 3 viikkoa hieman lyhyemmän tarkistusajan työllenne, teidän pitää ottaa yhteyttä ohjaajaanne ja kysyä että mikä on lopullinen aikataulu, jotta työ ehditään hyväksyä Laturissa. Tarkastuksessa pitää huomioida aina kahden tarkastajan aikataulu! Ottakaa tarvittaessa aikaisintaan joulukuun alussa yhteyttä loppukuulustelusta vastaavaan opettajaan, että kuinka nopeasti hän pystyy arvioimaan loppukuulustelunne, jotta valmistuisitte tämän vuoden puolella. Muistakaa sopia myös LuK-kypsyysnäytteen teosta ohjaajanne kanssa hyvissä ajoin esim. onko mahdollista, että ohjaajanne laatii kypsyysnäytteen otsikon viittä vaille valmiin työn perusteella ja teette sen Examinariumissa, vaikka palautatte lopullisen tutkielman Laturiin hieman myöhemmin. terv. Graduation in November All courses, exams, thesis, PSP accepted, and Valo graduation application done and accepted by 23.11. Graduation in December Please take into account the holiday season. General instructions are that Valo application has to be done one week before the turn of the month. In practice all you courses, book exams and thesis has to be accepted and in register, PSP accepted by me and two-part Valo application done in the beginning of week 51 (18.12.) You have to contact the responsible teacher for the final exam and ask how quickly he/she is able to grade the exam.
