University of Oulu Scholarship Fund call for grants 2020
The Scholarship Fund of the University of Oulu opens a call for research grants. The awarded grants are typically between 3000 and 5000 euros.
Only researchers who have completed a Master’s degree are eligible for researcher grants. Travel grants are not awarded.
The grant recipient may not be simultaneously employed by the University of Oulu during the grant period.

Magnus Ehrnrooth foundation grants
Deadline: November 30th, 2020
Types of grants: research grants, personal grants (post doc and doctoral), project grant, travel grant
The Magnus Ehrnrooth foundation awards grants annually for researchers working
in mathematics and the natural sciences. The foundation is one of the most important foundations that supports research in these areas in Finland. In 2020 the total sum of the grants awarded was to 1,9 M€.

The proposed cross-cutting priority is welfare
The call text will be published in late November on the Academy of Finland’s website.
The first stage call will be open until mid-January.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has opened an extensive call for applications for research and development funding aimed to produce information on how the climate-sustainability
of agriculture, forestry and other land uses can be strengthened. The total amount of funds available is about EUR 9 million. The three-year research and innovation programme Hiilestä kiinni - Catch the carbon is one of the key elements of the package of climate
measures for the land use sector under the Government Programme.
The application for funding related to the programme will be open until 21 December 2020.
The aim is also to open a supplementary call for applications already in 2021.
