REMINDER!
Dear biology colleagues,
In preparation for the Researchers’ Night event on 29th September, I want to organize a small exhibition of the photos of our research. The idea is to showcase our research from our perspective while making it interesting and understandable to non-researchers.
Details:
EXHIBITION – Living World from Different Perspectives
Organisms from different perspectives, such as x-ray images, pictures of skeleton, young/babies, infrared pictures, stained cells, bacteria, plant leaves, closeups of insect, animal feathers, plants, animals from a drone, plants/forests from a drone, and anything else that would show the living world how we see and study it. I am also looking for something that would not be so apparent at the first sight what it is, hence “different perspectives”.
I am pretty sure you have been taking some amazing pictures of your study animals, environment, plants, bacteria, or whatever else we study here, that you find awesome and would want to share with the wider public.
Please, let me know *BY THE END OF FRIDAY 28th APRIL* if you would like to participate.
Participation includes providing high resolution picture based on above mentioned topics (or similar), providing a short description of the picture and relevance to your research, and having a website where your research is described in detail (for example in form of a blog post).
Currently, the idea is still in developing phase. You do not need to have pictures ready. I just need to estimate the budget based on how many people would be interested in sharing their amazing pictures. In case you already have some pictures, please, do not hesitate to send them to me. It will help with planning especially things like the size of prints and type of material, which are also relevant to the budget.
Looking forward to seeing your pictures!
Dominika
