Hi all,

anybody keen to collaborate on toads with my Austrian colleagues – see below and let me know (before I turn to LUOMUS)?

Cheers,

Heikki

Subject: a question, not about ants

Dear Heikki,
this is not about ants, for a change 😉

Our email is short because it’s really more a general question, on which we would then be very happy to elaborate if encouraged by your reply.

Nicole Voelker has completed her MSc thesis under our supervision, has done really well, and now wants to continue with her PhD thesis in our group. She aims to tackle the conservation biology of Bufo bufo by combining genomics scans, ecotoxicology, and landscape analysis, based on road kill samples. Her focus will be on Tyrol, Austria, but it’ll be important to include as a base line a few focal areas in other parts of Europe.

Our question, please: does anyone from Finland come to your mind who Nicole could contact and who could possibly become a collaborator, mostly in terms of collecting road kills? – also lay persons would be extremely welcome.

Thank you very much for your time,
Warmest,
b&f
