This might be a specimen that our museum has sent for a loan. The contact was Will Bouchard but he perhaps is the same person, at least the last name matches.
But it does not make sense that we pay customs duty for our own property. It apparently did not come to mind in the Finnish Customs that a thing that arrives in Finland can also
be something else but 1) a gift or 2) a purchase. It really is legal to send your own thing for a loan abroad. I do not find it fair to pay customs duty to get it back. I also do not find my own thing a gift when returned.
The Finnish Customs is a nightmare. It easily takes hours for a person here to figure out all this. As a return, the Customs typically “earn” 6-11 eurocents. Where is this country
going?
